He always owns the Toods, if you're not a complete stiff, you can expect to have a big game against Goober.

Edwards needs to start taking over. The most athletic guy on the court and you only have 3 points in the last 2 quarters. WTF?? Should have 40 by now.
Just get to the Knicks already.

Another year of Dallas slapping around the Wolves.
Edwards only 9 points after his 24 point first quarter. Must be why we don't hear him chirping.

They literally just said it during the broadcast as he was limping around. You obviously aren't watching the game. They said he got hurt at the end of the first quarter.

Limping around and grabbing at your throbbing asshole like Edwards at the end of a 4th quarter as the reality of your loss is sinking in isn't where I evaluate if a player is healthy or not. He was fine just like Doncic was.

Doncic shot 10-27, 1-8 from 3. Maybe the injury had a role in his awful shooting.
Edwards was struggling for 3 quarters after the injury happened. It wasn't something that suddenly started bothering him at the end of the game. If you want to dog Edwards you should mention his foul shooting. I doubt an injury played a role there.

Both Ant and Doncic got small bang ups, that they can still play thru, but one can be much more effective at super slow speed & no verticality, than the other.
Luka had a bad shooting night, but Kyrie carried them in the 3rd quarter, and early 4th, then Luka still hit a gang of midrange footwork/pivot J’s in the 4th, and his only made 3 wound up being a real spirit killer for the wolves and their fans late. Was an interesting roller coaster ride to watch. When Minny hit all those 3’s in the first half, and Luka was struggling, but Minny was still down 2 at half, it spelled trouble.
When this Mavs offense finally hits full chemistry, it’s gonna be ugly for the rest of the league.

Crazy how Luka went 0-7 on good 3s, and then hit that crazy 40 foot fadeaway dagger as his only make. He lives for those high pressure shots.

They had to trade Kat. His contract is awful and his playoff performances have been pretty inconsistent. They have clearly committed to Ant as their guy and intend on building around him, even if it means a possible step back this season.

KAT averaged prime Pau Gasol numbers in the playoffs last year. He didn't shoot well vs Dallas but was lights out vs Pheonix and Denver. He had a very good playoff run overall. Now Minny will be lucky to win a 1st round matchup. So good luck with that. Ants gonna eventually bounce.

Numbers werent what made Gasol good, and without looking it up I dont even think "prime Pau Gasol numbers" are a huge accomplishment anyway, particularly given the scoring inflation wevd seen since Pau's day.
KAT gives you no intangibles, so to make supermax money and only do Pau Gasol numbers is not a particularly high value proposition.

Last year Kat had a TS of 55% in the playoffs, this year 58%. Not ideal for a center.
Gasol is a bad example since he had several playoff runs shooting bricks, 50% TS or worse.
Ant is signed through 2029.

In the 1st two rounds KAT averaged 19/9 on elite 50+/40+/85+ shooting. Those are sniper splits. He shot worse vs Dallas but so did Ant. And of course Rudy getting embarrassed.
Nothing about last year was negative for KAT. He played great and they lost him for basically nothing. And will be fodder this year. That's not a good business plan... that's classic twolves management from the Joe Smith era.

Obviously the cap isn't your thing. They would have gotten crushed by the luxury tax if they didnt trade Kat. This was easy to see coming.
He is totally dependent on 3 pt shooting. If his 3s are missing he is pretty useless on offense.

You can literally say this about 90% of All Stars nowadays given the volume they take. Giannis, AD, and Jokic are probably the only star players who don't need to shoot well from long range to dominate. But even Jokic is dependant on his shooting to a degree. It's one of the best parts of his game.

Randle isn't moving any needle with his black hole dribble style. I do like divencenzo though... he is ultimately a role player.
Who wants to take bets Minnesota never makes it as far as they did last year again?

I mean come on, you cant expect they were gonna be able to swap KAT straight up for Bronny or any other legitimate superstar.

It's not true for Ant who is a constant threat to get to the rim/foul line and has a midrange pullup to fall back on.

Looking at the shooting splits from last year, Ant and KAT literally took the same proportion of 3s as their total FGAs. 34% of their shots were 3s, and 66% were inside the arc. :oldlol: So what you're saying isn't adding up at all. It's crazy that their 3pt / 2pt attempt split is exactly the same from their 2024 season.

First of all ant is a guard and Kat is a center. Typically centers score far more inside than guards.
Secondly Ant creates a lot of his own shots off the dribble. Kat not so much. He is notorious for dumb offensive fouls when he tried to drive.

This is just shocking levels of derangement. When people are so in love with a player or team they dont understand how insane they sound.
Gobert was 2-5 for 7 points, 8 rebounds and 2 turnovers to 1 assist. He was tied for worst +/- among starters. And the eye test confirmed it, he was fumbling passes and getting stuffed at the rim and got bullied by Daniel Gafford.
Imagine thinking this 120-114 loss to the Mavericks was somehow about Gobert doing it alone. He scored 7 points. And the Mavs scored 120. There was nothing in that game for Toody to hang his hat on.
The Wolves played an uneven game last night and it was a team loss in general. But just imagine singling Rudy out as the bright spot. It's just unfathomable.
No wonder you have TDS. You are a literal insane person.
Based on my comment and his response Ì think Xiao was referring to Gobert in the 2024 WCFs when he averaged 11/9 or whatever. And got baptized by Luka in the clutch.
Just eye test alone Naz Ried felt like minnys best player in the maverick series. He was stringing some crazy shit together in that one.

Gordon Haywood was asked about Rudy in the playoffs yesterday for some reason
“He always had problems guarding around the perimeter and that was something anytime we played like a quick guard that can also shoot it was going to be tough for us. We had really tough times against Boston when they had IT (Isiah Thomas). We had really tough times against Kemba, we had really tough times against Dame. Guards that if he came out too far they go right around him, and if he’s back at all they’re just shooting. Hayward made sure to reiterate that Gobert was still excellent overall on that end of the floor. So I think that would probably be his only critique as a defensive player is being able to guard the perimeter. Now I don’t think he’s bad at it, I think it’s just those are world class elite level players, that’s just what they did was coming off pick and rolls, shooting.”

I don't even think rudy did a bad job on Luka last year on̈ that shot. His closeout was decent, it just looked cartoonish the way he shuffled his feet at the end. It looked like he was slipping on a banana, I damn near thought an anvil was going to fall out of the sky onto him afterwards. :lol
