He then questioned who between him and Giannis has more “Greek” in them, in a comment with obvious racist undertones.

“Your team is very good. I would say the Greek is a seriously good player. And tell me, who has more Greek in him, the Greek or me? I think we have about the same. He’s a great player, maybe the best player in the NBA actually. He’s supposed to be a very good guy too,” Trump said.

You always imagine people who have weirdly dedicated followers having…at least…I don’t know. It’s probably not worth talking about in this environment.

Not sure how real that actually is. In fact the opposing base has behaved FAR more insanely and unhinged on balance over the last ten years.

Of course every group has teeth-gritting zealots, but this idea of the Trump torch and pitchfork mob I think is really more a creation of the billionaire left, to make themselves look like the saviors vulnerable groups are conditioned to trust and believe they need.

Sort of like how Elizabeth Warren or whoever these white women in congress were that pushed to have the Redkins name changed when most Indians couldn't care less. It was about creating a problem in order to self-appoint as the leader.

Sure plenty within "MAGA" have a political ideology they believe strongly in. But the Jussie Smollett, Lebron garage graffiti, January sixth "insurrection" stuff is all quietly planned and peddled by the Democrat Plantation to keep minority groups fearful and loyal to its white billionaire leaders. Its the same tactics slave owners have always used. Tell slaves tales about how vicious and scary the rogue hillbillies just off the plantation were... so you better not think about leavin!

There is never going to be some kind of big holocaust on minorities because of Trump. That hasnt happened in 160 years since slavery ended and there have been far more racist presidents than The Don, in times with far more racist voters. It's not a thing and it's not happening. The old wealth imbalance between players and the owners just isn’t there in the same way. With guys like Ballmer? Sure. But he’s ahead of the other owners by more than most owners are ahead of the top players. The top tier players are right up there With the low end owners. There’s a major misconception about the front facing owner. They don’t always own the entire team. There’s usually an ownership group. A number of the longtime owners have the team in the family from the days you could buy them relatively cheap. When values went through the roof, they started selling off portions for cash and now they have partial owners who own a stake in the team worth more than the team was originally bought for.

Jeannie Buss owns 11% of the Lakers. LeBron is a lot richer than Jeanie. Jeanie is marginally richer than Russell Westbrook and KD. SGA is gonna sign an extension worth like 80% of Jeannie’s net worth. The Lakers ownership group is worth more than any player, but that’s a boardroom not a person.

Alex Rodriguez was trying to buy Minnesota with an ownership group. He’s not as rich as Steph.

if you read old stories about NBA players meeting owners and the reverence they had for these old rich guys as businessmen there’s a huge contrast to these days.

NBA money is enough that a couple of them can walk into a room with a couple owners and be on equal financial footing even if they don’t have all the connections.

And even where there is a big difference, it isn’t to the point you can threaten anybody. Somebody with $300 million doesn’t give a **** if you have 970 million. Or if you have 6 billion. You hit a “Who the **** you are think you talking to?” point.

I hit that shit myself when I just started investing my whole paycheck because I didn’t need it anymore. Imagine these 300 million dollar men.
