Each NBA season there are a few surprise teams that people thought would be good or even very good but turn out to be better than that and turn out to be true contenders.

When the Nuggets won the championship at the start of the year no one really predicted it would be them.

The Mavericks look pretty good at the start of last season but no one predicted they would get to the finals.

Who are the possible surprise teams this year? An obvious pick is the Cavs so if you name them name someone else too

Golden State is suprising me so far. Too early still to predict where they'll end up, but they're looking a lot better than I expected.
