Possible Tatum revenge game going against Steve Kerr who let him rot on the bench during the Olympics.
Let's see how real this "Tatum revenge tour" and "not a frontrunner" thing is. Tatum is the premier frontrunner in the NBA the last few seasons and leaves a lot to be desired in the playoffs. Surely he'll have a big game tonight with Brown out. :biggums:

GS has looked very good but their schedule has been pretty soft. Good test.
Tatum is shooting over 60% on long 2s so far this season :wtf:

Midway through 3Q, Warriors ahead 64-58.
Going into this game, I wasn't sure about the Warriors; though they were 6-1, all their wins were against teams who have a .500 record or below. This is their first game in the season against a top team. Pleasantly surprised.
Celtics are playing w/out fMVP Jaylen Brown.
Warriors w/distributed scoring; Celts relying heavily on D. White and Tatum.

Warriors defense is better than I thought. GP2 up to his usual tricks.

This Warriors team is going to be a real, real threat. Total sleeper.
Especially if they can play/unlock Moody more and move on from Kuminga. I feel like they need one more type of player and can't put my finger on which.

Having so many guys who can play will make it a lot easier for Steph to get through the regular season.

Overall HIeld has been great.
But there's some game IQ lacking in driving into two defenders as Q3 runs out, drying to draw a foul on the Celtics home court. Refs will not call that.

Might be. I'm still waiting for the game against the Cavs; if they can hold their own with the Cavs at full strength, they are legitimate. Hield has plugged in so well for Klay's absence. Kuminga offensively playing well today- 2 for 3 from 3 pt range, 4-9 overall. His D has picked up a bit as well. They have gone back to the idea of depth.

Yeah they once stood for "strength in numbers" and they seem to believe in it again.

D White and Tatum glide so smoothly around screens. That's the mark of a committed defender. Green and Curry do something similar.

Greedy Kerr trying to win with small ball again. Getting crushed on boards. Celtics with 17 2nd chance points in the 2nd half.
Kerr also keeping 3rd stringers in the game against last years Finals champs.

SlowMo 3-9. A real valuable contribution on the court..... SlowMo with more minutes than Moody and Jackson-Davis. Kerry playing Lindy Waters for some reason. Waters with as much play time as GP2. These minor seeming choices make big differences. Hard to beat a great time with these kinds of mistakes.

Unbelievably stupid Slow Mo refusing to switch onto Celtics big man for a dunk. SlowMo calls for guard GP2 to guard big man, a laughable judgment call for a supposed veteran. Slow Mo's brain is the main thing in slow motion.

Warriors play is reminiscent of 2013-2015.

Down the Stretch:
Curry' shooting
Looney's intangibles; heads up rebounding and put backs
Hield- stepping into Klay's former role
Overall team commitment on the defensive end; less over-help mistakes.

Nice to see Looney dusted off. Always strange when a high impact player doesn't see the floor. I understand preserving him but he should not be a rarity. Serious x-factor.

Surprisingly good chemistry for a team with so many new players.

Warriors played well tonight but I can't see them winning the West without another star. Also someone will figure a good way to abuse them in the paint. If they have the assets for it they should be all over Giannis.

sorry plays like this make me livid. celts have 4 defenders denying the inbound in backcourt. so what is slow-mo doing on the other side of the court? thats why they couldn't inbound it. what veteran experience are they getting? lapses like that lose games.

We called it early. Sleeper team.
Can see a surprise run like the Pacers had at the minimum. Warriors to the WCF? Surprising Minnesota anyone? :lol

GSW once again showing what you can do with a star that lacks an ego, a coach with a proven system, and high-quality role players that fit. Chemistry and continuity are essential.

Removed the drama and nepotism out of the team

Some really silly plays there. Steph's 3P foul was very dumb as well. The inbounding was lazy and sloppy. You can't have Steph getting double/tripple teamed on 4 occasions and the team can't take advantage of an easy layup on the other end.
Either way, what a huge win.

Was surprised by Steph's mistake at the end as well. On one hand, he was trying to lead by example by having intensity on the defensive end, down the stretch- not phoning it in. But he went too far to the other extreme with the senseless foul.
Yep a confidence builder for sure. People that thought Steph was just going to go quietly in his last few years don't know the guy.

I thought Waters was a good move by Kerr. He already knows gp2 can play with the starters so he is using the early season to get waters out there and familiar.

Could be. Would prefer to bring him out vs the scrub teams we played in the first 6 wins versus the league champs. But hey, maybe there is method in his madness.
