Why is Chicago so damn liberal?
Big cities in every state are usually liberal.

Virtually every major city in the US, even in very red states, votes overwhelmingly liberal. Just for an example, Trump won Louisiana in 2020 by 20 points, but Biden received 83% of the vote in New Orleans.
Admittedly, it won't be that extreme everywhere else, but the vast majority of cities will vote liberal.

That is why the notion that we need to divide the country in two is silly. It's already divided in two.
Urban (liberal) and Rural (MAGA).
And if we literally split the country in half? The cities on both sides would still be liberal, and the rural areas would still be MAGA on both sides. To get an actual real split we would have to move all of the cities to one half of the country, and all of the farm land to the other.

Turning a big city like Miami red was huge this past election.

That's crazy the shift in Miami, in 2016 Hillary beat Trump there 63-33, so that is one of the very rare cities you can claim voted red. Just doing a brief look, literally the only other city I could find was Oklahoma City, and even in a state Trump won by 35 points, Trump won there by just 2 :lol

Just saw that compared to 2020 with male and female Latino voters, Trump was a +15 overall this election

Florida I think is a unique situation because of DeSantis and the older retired conservative population doesn't like that "woke" Disney World has their state a tourist nest. Florida kind of transformed into the place to go to battle wokeness, and anyone that lives near an amusement park hates it so it was easy for them to get on board with DeSantis there.
