For positional Balance, you could swap Carmelo(third team) in for either love or Blake and I’m pretty sure it still doesn’t go to seven.

I set out to find a second team that couldn’t win and I gave up the search when I saw them. I was originally gonna compare a string of second teams to the 90s third teams just to be the douche bag old guy. The 3rd teams in the 90s all still have dominant big men and it kinda felt like I was stacking the deck.

Shaq Hakeem and David Robinson were all on third teams in the 90s. Makes it easy.

Any team with Westbrook isn't winning a championship.

I would say any team that makes the finals has proven it potentially could win. There has never been a final series so lopsided it couldn’t switch outcomes with an injury to the best player. At least not off the top of my head.

An injuries have decided way too many playoff series and championships to say it can’t happen or it’s unreasonable to consider.

You really just have to get there. There have been very few conference finals teams that couldn’t win either. Teams go from contender to champion because look like that all the time. Relatively speaking, of course.

Post Shaq center era play was pretty bad until about 6-7 seasons ago.

Guys like Bynum, DeAndre Jordan, Tyson Chandler were making 1st and 2nd team centers. Bynum is the weak link here

This is a very physically gifted team led by a 3x champ in his peak Tony Parker. I don't know if they'd follow that French f*g but the right coach should make this team a contender at least.
