Klay got a much better ovation than I expected. Maybe people in real life don’t hate as much as the Internet would lead me to believe. I didn’t think he would get booed or anything, but he got an ovation like A legend retiring at home.

Curry guarding Klay on the first play. I figured he would post him up.

Got fouled.

I’m here to watch them hunt each other for the next hour.

thats because the internet's loudest people are basement dwelling haters. in real life, their voices are not important nor representative of reality. it's like thinking the average person on the street thinks like jasper or 3ball.

Klay is a legend for them. He's no different than Parker or Manu to the Spurs and when Tony returned is was the same standing ovation. If Manu had played for someone else he would have been given the same love from the fans.

Regular Season

Hornacek (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hornaje01.html)'.... 17.7 PER.. 2.9 bpm.. 0.153 ws/48.. 42.1 vorp on 33,964 min.. 15/3/5 on 58.2 ts
Klay (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/thompkl01.html)............ 16.4 PER.. 0.7 bpm.. 0.110 ws/48.. 14.4 vorp on 20,380 min.. 19/3/2 on 57.5 ts

Playoffs

Hornacek (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hornaje01.html)'.... 16.5 PER.. 3.1 bpm.. 0.145 ws/48.. 14.1 vorp on 4766 min.. 15/4/4 on 57.5 ts
Klay (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/thompkl01.html)............ 14.4 PER.. 0.7 bpm.. 0.091 ws/48.... 3.1 vorp on 4570 min.. 19/3/2 on 56.0 ts

So Klay was a Mo-level player that Curry elevated to Splash Brother status and HOF

MJ did this with Pippen too, while many other sidekicks like Pau, Parker and Ginobili made All-NBA after winning titles - the winning spotlight inflates them to media accolade and all-time status, but in reality they aren't as good as Jeff Hornacek or Larry Nance.

How are you a professional basketball team and you average 50 ****ing % at the FT line? If I'm Kerr, everyone but Steph and Buddy is staying until 3AM practicing FT before they're allowed to go home. Embarrassing. :facepalm

Mavs losing 3 in a row by a point or two.

I didn't know that, but that's odd. Kyrie and Luka are generally some of the most clutch guys in the league.

They are settling for tough, contested 3s late in the game. At least that is what they did against Denver. Tough shots to make when tired.

That's their entire style. Luka/Kyrie iso tough shot making, have the 3 people that stand in a corner or near the rim make their shots when they get it. But if they making them, you have to respect it.

Well, looks like steph curry stole klays lunch money last night.

37/9/6, a game high +24 on / off (blowout margin), and clutch take over in the 4th quarter.

I'm not really all that surprised.
