It's still pretty early in the season and teams with very average records can win just literally a couple games in a row and suddenly be close to the top of the standings.
Who do you think the best team is that happens to have just underperformed for whatever reason these first few weeks

Philly was ranked 5th by ESPN and projected to have 50 wins by Bleacher report. They are 2-9. They need to go 48-23 (68%) to hit that mark.
Only other clear candidates are the Bucks and Pelicans.

Mavs if we just go by +/-. They've looked really good in stretches but have blown games late in the 4th. They only lost by double-digits once 2nd game of the season to PHX by 12 and rest of their losses have all been within 1-7 points. Most have been 1 possession losses. As far as their point differential goes (+3) they have the 6th best in the WC right now which is better than the Lakers, Nuggets & T-Wolves.
Luka has also been horrific for most of these games and they're still top 10 on offense right now and the defense has been above-average despite the late game blunders.
