wo parents allegedly tried to choke their 17-year-old daughter outside her high school in an attempted “honor killing” for refusing an arranged marriage with an older man, according to police.Ihsan Ali and his wife, Zahraa Ali, were charged with attempted murder for the shocking attack outside Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington, in which the dad also allegedly punched their daughter’s boyfriend in the face, police said.
Their daughter, who was not identified, said that “her father had recently been threatening her with honor killing for refusing an arranged marriage with an older man in another county,” according to charging documents obtained by The Post.

Ihsan and Zahraa Ali are charged with trying to kill their daughter. FOX 13 SeattleShe ran away and sought help from school staff on Oct. 18 — enraging her parents, who showed up and attacked her outside, some of which was caught on camera.
Her dad, Ihsan, choked her “to the point where she had lost consciousness” as other students — including the girl’s boyfriend — desperately tried to pry her away, the documents alleged.
“It’s not right … you are not supposed to do this,” her father told her with his hands around her throat before she blacked out, the girl told police

look at all the wars they fought / countries they terrorized using USA in the Middle East.Nah, Islam has my vote on that. The word 'assassin' literally derives from them and they had rules where sins don't count if done in the name of religion(pretty convenient if you ask me). Kids with grenades strapped to them, virgins waiting for you in heaven if you blow yourself up etc

I don't think it's because she refused the arranged marriage. I think it's because she has adapted to western society values (having boyfriends, free sex) and this is seen as a shame to the whole family.

It's the same as for American families a few decades ago where having a gay kid could mean the kid would be abused, disowned, or even killed.

I am dead serious. What Christian bloodshed? Every few years someone on this forum lumps Christianity in with Islam, and I always challenge them to explain the similarities and in this case, naming the examples of Christian bloodshed, and time and time again those who make the claim fail to do so.
