Just the hassle of getting to the arena and parking? Or even taking an Uber?

You going to that bum ass game even at that price?

Well it's worth it if you wanna go with some friends or family just as an occasional social thing. It's something to do.

But obviously if youre specifically looking to attend a "big game" it's hard to feel that way about one with those guys missing.

NBA games are also very family oriented in terms of the atmosphere. Dance teams and mascots, $10,000 dollar half court shots, people doing 'the twist' when the jumbotron cam lands on them. I cant really see why anyone without kids would ever attend a game against the Hornets or the Wizards and such, regardless of the ticket price. You're basically watching a zero-stakes game with the atmosphere of a child's birthday party. Which, if you have kids youre taking, thats fine. But otherwise... meh. Seats arent comfortable, food selection limited. Why am I fighting traffic to do this? I guess I'm just not someone who feels like I need to see the basketball team in person regularly, and show them my support, cheering in my jersey and hat.

But thats just me. To each their own.

would you subject your family to that kind of treatment for the love of the game? Pelicans will pay you 10 dollars each to attend. You coming?

If I can leave early if it's a blowout, then I'll stop by. Grab a couple stadium pizzas with the pooled 10 dollar incentives and with that many regulars out of the lineup it does become kind of fun in an ironic way to cheer them on if theyre actually threatening to win. Not even cheer them so much as jeer and laugh at the opponents if theyre even remotely close to full strength and getting beat by Yves Missi and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.

If I'm at home Id rather watch the best players play, but if I'm actually gonna come and cheer for guys in person Id actually rather cheer for the underdog backup contract-hopefuls than the $300 million dollar spoiled load managers.

They’re playing the Cavs coming off their first loss probably pissed off about it. This feels like a game Cleveland could win by 65 if they wanted to do it but on the other hand, it’s like you alluded to…. The random grab bag of players they will have to have suit up just to field enough players? Those guys are gonna be hungry. Somebody is going to take 19 shots who absolutely should never get 19 shots. I might’ve talked myself into watching the first quarter.

whoever gets out here this game is definitely going to care about the regular season. How often can you say that?
