Thread about the open spots and why Derrick White should be getting all of them.

Reasons why the East is down:

1. Tyrese Haliburton. 15ppg, 8.5 apg, 37.5% shooting.
Pacers currently 6-9... same record as the Nets, who don't have any supermax players. His numbers aren't so terrible that he can't turn it around but so far he's making me look dead wrong and that's just unforgivable.

2 Joel Embiid. I didn't mention him first because I'm edgy and different. But now that that's been settled: I don't know if this situation gets fixed but he has to start looking like himself with the 30/10 and some wins by mid December to make up for the very negative season start. The way things have gone in Philly Maxey will have a hard time making the ASG and they certainly can't have 2.

4. Julius Randle (traded)

Dame Lillaird maybe should be listed here but I'm still not counting Milwaukee out as a playoff team or Lillaird as a scoring threat. If Milwaukee doesn't have a winning record by late January they shouldn't have two Allstars.

West isn't as controversial but there are three guaranteed openings:

1. Kawhi Leonard. Who thought it was a good idea to send him to France? I seriously wonder if they were hoping an injury over there triggers some clause in his contract and they can then dump him off on insurance. Or something.

2. Paul George. Traded, and wouldn't be making it even if he wasn't.

3. Karl Anthony Towns. Might even start but it would be in the East.

So the election wasn't stolen after all? This is the NBA forum.
