Basketball should be scored like tennis

I often see a blowout where you already know the result very early. Like the Cavs vs Raptors game where the Cavs outscored the Raptors by 16 points by the end of the first quarter. Of course by then no one believes Raptors will be able to overcome that and change the channel or want to leave the arena.

Instead, each quarter should start at 0-0. Whoever win the most quarters wins the game. If a team already won the first 3 quarters then the game ends via sweep. If after 4 quarter the game end in a draw then standard overtime applies.

I think we did first to 11 and then a new set, best of 5. Makes a lot more sense than playing low intensity to 50 or something.

They were actually up 14 in the 3rd, team A took the lead after team B star player went down with an injury mid way through the quarter. He's scheduled to return in the 4th but I guess it's no keen to as the game has now been called.
