He shoots .367 overall and .317 from 3 and averages 21/9/7.
Normal Powell is making everything.
Team is probably better than it should be.
Let’s say all those things continue(but Powell has a normal great shooting season not the GOAT one he’s having)….
Would you consider it a good season from Harden?

Harden is playing some of the best defense of his career. Always an underrated defender post-CP3 addition, but it's blatantly clear now.
It's a good season for any NBA player. Obviously not touching his prime. But he should be an all-star IMO. Not an easy role to play.

If they are winning because he's also stepped up as a leader then I would overlook the shooting to say he's doing well for them. I'm not a believer though.
Where are the efficiency fairies at?

They aren't coming out because fans are smarter than this now.
He has a .544 TS which isn't atrocious efficiency. It's right about Lamelo Balls career average. Especially if he's doing other things to help the team win you can get by with the average efficiency.
It's not good but if he's doing other things you can overcome that.

I always liked Powell and thought he would be a good starter but always seemed stuck in a backup role. Now he is averaging 23 ppg with a TS of 64%. Way to take advantage of the opportunity. :applause:

Clippers deserve some credit for their strong start relative to expectations, but it's still just about 1/6 of the way thru the season. I think you have to wait until at LEAST about the 1/3 mark to start peeling off the sample size caveat. Lets see where they stand at the end of December and if theyre still hot we can start to call it 'something.'

Before the season started I kept saying they were going to have a bottom 10 offense, and a top 5 defense. That's what we are seeing. A team of grinders, scrappy guys who can play multiple positions. JVG's defensive focus, and intensity has been a God send. I admit even I didn't expect them to stay afloat this well with 0 games from Kawhi though. I thought they would be a 45-48 win team still BUT that was with Kawhi playing early on, and 60 games. If you told me they would have Kawhi out the first 30 games or so minimum, with the 3rd toughest schedule so far, and be over .500 I would have said no.
They just have to increase Dunn's, Batum's and Jordan Miller's minutes while gutting KPJ's and Mann's minutes if they want to go to another level.

The Clippers success or failure hinges on Kahwi.
It's not looking promising for the Clips.

I don't think it does. They should have not given him a contract. The reality is WITH Kawhi they are a 1st round exit, MAYBE 2nd if they get super lucky. The title window was closed since 2021. So why is the difference between say 42 and 48 wins etc going to determine success? With or without Kawhi their ceiling is similar.
