Nobody talks about how Westbrook & Jokic have more triple doubles than Lebron

Weird.. For a guy that's touted for his stats. The all time leading scorer who is somehow not a scorer, but a passer, somehow has the most turnovers of all time and the most missed shots of all time.

We always heard how he can do everything. 6 foot 9 260 pounds, a triple double machine..

Well. I am looking right now and Westbrook has 200 triple doubles to Lebron's 118 triple doubles. Jokic has played almost 10 fewer seasons than Lebron and has 137 triple doubles.

Isn't that a bit odd? For someone that is so touted for his all around stats, you would think he would be mind blowingly ahead of everyone. Weird.

Also isn't it a bit odd that Lebron played with 7 active all stars during his career, but always gets credit for not having enough help? Isn't it weird how Lebron is praised for winning 4 titles but the 6 losses somehow don't count?

Us NBA fans should be ashamed for getting duped for this many years. The man ruined the culture of winning properly and we as fans were gas lighted. And it's not just him. It's the media that went a long with this narrative for years. All this push-back that he's getting now is deserved.

Triple doubles are irrelevant. As I've pointed out on several occasions, it's a vanity statistic.

First, defensive rebounds shouldn't even be kept as stats. Usually they're a given, the other team is running back court to prevent a fast break. Most of Jokic and Westbrook's rebounds are defensive rebounds - a meaningless stat. In Westbrook's case, it's even more egregious because he should position himself to receive the ball and run the fast-break which he can't do if he's crashing the boards.

Second, assists and points are based on ball dominance and volume. Alone, outside the context of efficiency and ball dominance, they tell you nothing. If i insist on dominating the ball, I'm GOING to have high assists whether I'm actually doing useful facilitating or not.

So you're just beating yourself in your own argument. Lebron always goes for vanity stats. Defensive rebounds shouldn't be kept as a stat? But then we've been saying for years that Jordan averaged more offensive rebounds than Lebron and all of a sudden, now that's the argument ha ha.

In terms of triple doubles, Lebron is kind of like the liason between Jokic and Westbrook.

Yolk gets his assists with almost 0 ball dominance which is obviously the most optimal way to play a team game, and then Lebron and Westbrook get theirs through ball hoggery, but Lebron does it in a more intelligent and patient manner.
