Does Junior have the right to reject G-League assignments without his father's power behind him? Because if he doesn't and James retired the only things the Lakers could do with him is use his deal to make the money match in a trade or sell G League tickets. I doubt James retires so long as his son can be played with in his absence.

Plus it's not that bad. Odds are he still stays in the allstar game and even if he didn't have fan support I bet he would make it. 22, 8 and 9 is still excellent statistically.
