There are several things that are happening in this conflict and around the world right now and it's very important to be on the right side of history. While the loss of life on the Palestinian side is excessive, and since I cannot speak for the Israelis, I can only conclude that this retaliation (stop saying genocide please) is a retaliation where it is sending two messages. One to the Islamic world and the other to the rest of the world. The Jews are tired of being ****ed with, killed, etc. Thus, the reaction to October 7th is on such a grand scale that it will reverberate for years to come. And I'm one of the few on this board that actually think it will be for the greater good of the world, and not the other way around. The Jews have been persecuted for thousands upon thousands of years and Netanyahu and his cabinet have finally said enough is enough. We will keep firing until every last terrorist rat is dead. Radical Islam is a scourge on this planet and sooner or later it must be addressed. So there's that. And you could totally disagree with that viewpoint.
