The game clock is still running while the 24 seconds shot clock is not unless a player touch the basketball.

This is not a new rule. Clock only stops in FIBA after a basket was made either for a Free Throw or under two minutes 4th quarter. All other baskets that are scored the clock continues to go.

I believe it's the same for NBA and has been for a very long time.
