The Cavs' Evan Mobley recently joined Kevin Durant as the only players in NBA history under 25 years old to get 40+ PTS, 10+ REB, 3+ BLK, and 5+ 3PM in a game.

Opinions on Mobley?

One of seemingly many MIP candidates this year.

Him taking another step is clearly a big part of Cleveland taking another step.

He reminds me of AD in that he's not especially 'skilled' with the ball in his hands, he doesnt have any standout moves or shots or repertoire (that Ive seen), but just being consistently relentless and high motor around the basket has really taken his impact up a level. His team is making a point of birdfeeding him this year just like Lebron always has with AD, and it's paying off. And on nights where a Mobley or AD get a few threes to fall as well the points add up quickly.

Disappointing so far. He's supposed to be the next Kevin Garnett. Instead he's more Lamar Odom level.

Cleveland is overachieving right now. Boston will overtake them before the all star break and never look back. Also, as great a scorer as Donovan is, his size is not conducive to passing well out of long doubles in the tighter, half-court, playoff intensity type of game.

Yes, he seems much improved, quite impressed with his play. Found his spots with his build.

An 18-year-old old who is "supposed" to be one of the best players of all time is always going to lead to disappointment. Not fair to do that to a player, and he's been excellent so far and is only getting better.

He's been excellent in the sense Cam Johnson or Peyton Pritchard has been excellent. But when you're compared to Kevin Garnett, you'd want at least Alperen Sengun type of excellent.

Low IQ post. How many shots do you expect dude to get playing with two score first guards? Even so he's putting up 18.3 PPG in 30.7 MPG (21.4 per 36) on 63.3 TS%. Sengun is at 18.5 PPG in 31.0 MPG (21.5 per 36) on 53.4 TS%. Then you factor in the defensive gap and Mobely is clearly better so far.

He's a player type that takes a long time to develop, similar to Chris Bosh and I think Bosh is about the level we can expect to reach, which is also great, but yes, never going to be a KG or best player on a playoff team imo.
