Per ESPN.
I'm confused by this deal tbh.
I thought Schroeder was going to be one of the hotter commodities at the trade deadline this year. Could have been a great fit in the King's Court. Hes also on an expiring deal.
The Nets are giving up him AND a first to get back a decent role player who just tore his ACL? Surprising.
Also a surprising move by GS. Schroeder and Curry dont strike me as an obviously complimentary pair. Maybe it works out but on paper it feels kinda strange.
Weird trade IMO.

It's a great trade for the Warriors they get another productive guard and a first round pick for a guy that can't help them any longer.
The Nets must have decided they weren't bad enough and were willing to give up a first round pick to get worse. The way this deal is reported they would have been better off just giving Schroeder a buy-out. I'll wait until the official details come out before I officially laugh at them but the reported Nets side makes no sense.

Nice.
Shroeder is pretty good. He's like Rondo Jr, only weakness is spot up shooting but with back court chef Curry and Hield spacing he should be good.

Golden State is reportedly sending Brooklyn three second-round picks in addition to Melton, per ESPN's Shams Charania. Melton is out for the season after having surgery on a partially torn left ACL.

Michael Scotto: Brooklyn Nets are finalizing a trade of Dennis Schroder and 1 second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for De’Anthony Melton and 3 second-round draft picks, sources confirm. That makes more sense. It's a fine move for a tanking team.

Schroeder is a goat in FIBA, so I am surprised why he doesn't have more interest, yada yada defense.

He's nothing like Rondo. Shroader is a score first, drive first guard that provides no extra value on the boards.
Rondo was a pure floor general who led the league in assists multiple times. They just played way way way different to make that comparison.
While you're at it may as well say Ja Morant is like Jason Kidd.

He's not really marketable. But yea his tenacity is evident on both sides of the court. Super long wing span relative to height with those handles... should be a great 6th man floor general for the bench. Rondo style with it.

Got to let him run the floor when he's on, which NBA is not willing to do.

Looks like the nets said fk a rebuild lets just head into hibernation. :oldlol: imagine being a fan of this team.....imagine
They traded their 1 above average player with a 1st round pick for nothing (insert drake laughing gif)
What are they gonna do next trade cam johnson for cash considerations? (insert drake gif again hahhahahahahahahaa)
Maybe they can trade for zion since he wants to be new York and have a duo of ben simmons and zion
