The league is making a STUPID KILLING off international TV rights, and the middle class voters in cities that host these teams are the ones paying taxes for the ****ing arenas

Wow, a few restaurants get a bump in customers on game nights. Whoopidy Doo. Whoopidy Goldberg.

But not good enough.

NBA cities should bargain for a share of revenue just like the NBAPA does. The cities should get 7.5% of the owners revenue share and 7.5% of the players revenue share.

I aint watching another damn game til that happens.

I think NBA caliber players should just film their own scrimmages and pick up games. Broadcast that shit on YouTube and make their own money like how any other content creator would. Screw the huge stadiums and holding a city hostage with an obviously obsolete form of entertainment.

How many people here even go to live games?

Is anyone on ISH a season ticket holder?

Those middle class voters seem to have no issue paying for the stadiums and then paying again just to enter them. :oldlol:

Not sure why even go to the games tbh. The live experience has stagnated for decades as the home experience has continued to improve. Multiple angles, high def, big screen TVs, just you and your friends, no drunk fans, no navigating traffic, no nightmare parking, much more comfortable seating, etc. The one thing you can't get at home is that atmosphere of thousands of fans simultaneously reacting to a great play with you. Well I never gave a shit about that but I'm sure it's a thing for most people.

NBA teams should definitely focus much more on connecting to the cities they're in. Do all kinds of social work, but also just create connections to high schools and colleges in their states.

This also imo should reflect on say things like the demographic makeup. It makes no sense why teams like OKC, Utah, Indiana and Denver, where few black players want to play, should not focus on getting more white players to fit their demographic. San Antonio could focus on mexicans. Los Angeles on asians. Toronto on indians and so on.
