I was certain this guy was a pretty scrubby role player. Not bad, but definitely below average. However he's actually had really good impact stats on the Magic the last four years.

Last 4 years - 19.4 PER, 64.7 TS%, .166 WS/48. You can't fake those numbers as a role player, in fact he's a very good player on a per-minute basis (only 17.6 MPG).

He could have a bigger role for sure.

He’s certainly a good scorer but his value depends on his defense as a big. I don’t watch him enough to know how it is. I’d be careful just using box score stats like that, they are always going to favor a big man who scores frequently and efficiently.

Indeed a good counterpoint, and yet it wouldn't surprise me if he is above average on defense either.

Yes, he's really good..and probably exactly what the Lakers, Warriors and so many other teams could use. Definitely a 15-17 PPG player who can go off for 20-30. Great 3 point shooter, rim runner, hustle and enforcer type.

Did just have a severe injury last night though I believe.

Praying we don't revisit bismack or Robin Lopez in pinstripes. Run goga, Wendell small ball Isaac and scour the Gleague or trade market

I already knew he got hurt which is what made me look up his performance.

I think once both Wagner brothers are healthy on the magic they will get more attention than they were before franz had his injury. Because they've been good for a while now and I think people were just starting to catch on early this season
