I dislike the suit personally. Too baggy.

But...

I'll watch it to at least give it a chance because I mostly like what Gunn has done, but I'm curious how well it will be received because the way they treated Cavill didn't sit well with a lot of people and many people might've just given up on DC because of how much of a mess it was after Justice League came out.

The biggest thing I'm worried about with the film is it's called "Superman", but the throw a shit ton of characters at you in the trailer all at once. It might make it difficult to connect with and build the character of Superman/Clark if you're getting the several other characters in the film throw at you.

I was whelmed but it's only a teaser trailer. I'm also not entirely sold on the guy playing Supes yet but again, it was just a teaser.

not a fan of gunn, his marvel movies were cringe but passable i suppose. i will say that peacemaker was fantastic and i have a hard time believing it's the same director as the marvel movies. masterpiece of a show and fkn hilarious. so not sure what to think, the movie could have potential or it could end up being very mid.

Cavill is 41, he's fine 'right now' to play Superman but I think they went younger so the new guy can carry the part for the next 10-12 years at least.

Lol. Funny thing is, at first glance with that haircut and the glasses it actually conceals his identity a bit better( of course, the entire 'hiding under glasses' thing was and always will be inherently ridiculous).

That's the problem with these modern superhero movies. Marvel set the blueprint for connected universes and now everyone wants to copy that formula, and DC already fell on their face the last decade attempting it. Gunn's a better, more capable director than Snyder and will probably give us a 'true to the source' Superman but as you pointed out, they're already shoehorning in other characters instead of just focusing on establishing this version.

Hard disagree. Thanos is one of the most well -written villains ever.

He sacrificed everything to save half of all of existence because he watched first hand overpopulation destroy his home planet. You can disagree with his authoritarian actions, but his intentions were just and he proved he didn’t want to conqueror anything at the end because after he ‘won’ he was just living out the rest of his days on a humble potato farm.

Heck we can go back further than that lol. Why didn't Doctor Strange cut off Thanos gauntlet wielding arm or better yet, his head? It was established early on in Infinity War with one of his minions that he could severe body parts using portals.
