interesting. wemby has made leaps since that game though. he's improving steadily fast. he's like Broly.

soft assleague. they really tried kicking drummond out for an OG move on wemby? this is what is ruining the league...making it palettable for the pencil neck brocoli head fingernail painting beta males :facepalm

wemby's body would break in half if he attempted the block that embiid just tried. he's too fragile.

Embiid is a disgrace. Nice of him to finally suit up just to get ejected and go after a female ref and jostle with an assistant. You're shit my guy.

Turning this snoozer off, someone wake me up when Wemby is close to breaking the record.

why the fukk would you eject embiid? the primary star of the game...especially given his lack of recent availability. just give him a damn tech

NBA kicking players out of big time games and wonder why ratings are plummeting. why not just fine them and let them finish instead of fking over the fans who paid to come to this game.....they just dont get it. This is a just a game....its not serious enough to be booting someone. A 750k dollar fine would hurt way more than an ejection. Losing a game check and playing the rest of that game "for free" stings way more than a damn ejection. You think wiggins, ben simmons, or deandre ayton gives a fk if you throw them out of a game? they dont give a damn lol. They just are all mentally stable so they dont meltdown enough to get techs

Way to **** over your fans. Its like they dont understand people are spending money lol. They cant comprehend that because they have been rich for so long. wtf would anyone struggling to afford tickets ever go to a game again when something like this ruins their experience......dumbassees

before you say "well ppl who cant afford tickets shouldn't be wasting the little money they have going to games" some ppl are stupid and 2 dimensional thinkers....they dont think ahead.that dont mean they deserve to get fkd over

I like how Wemby is playing and developing. He seems smart and is actually taking ISH advice to heart.

He is very good from the shoulder and high post. Elite passing and ability to hit the midrange.

He projects as I always thought, a better passing, worse shooting, Porzingis, which if he can stay healthy, will be a perennial MVP outsider.

You're not wrong but to say all of this without any consideration as to how Joel "DNP" Embiid is fvcking over the fans continually, over and over again, is funny.

The funny thing about this is CP3 actually went up and told the officials that Wemby simply tripped arguing in Drummond's favor.

Here's a hypothetical for you. If Drummond straight up punched that female official in the head, do you think he'd be black listed from the NBA or just a long suspension and some team still takes a chance on him?

Embiid's been ruining games the last several years. All DNPs and him flopping like he's a seven foot Chris Paul.

Blacklisted easily.

This is Drummond we're talking about, and he's not exactly the "sexy" type of player in today's NBA anyway and has had few suitors as such.

I think the only Sixers that could actually survive that would be Maxey and Embiid tbh. George is old enough that by the time his massive suspension is over he would be old and would get Carmelo type treatment at best.

Not really, Porzingis in Knicks was in MVP talks in his last season before injury. After 20 games, I believe he was like 25 ppg with excellent shooting and defense.

Wemby is actually not yet at that level offensively.

His shooting is not close to Porzingis best. Zingis is a much better 3 point shooter and shooter in general.

You’ve been talking about a two month stretch from seven years ago that didn’t matter even then for a long time now. And the Knicks were exactly .500 when he got hurt.

That stretch wasn’t nearly as special as you insist on making it out to be. It’s nothing anyone would talk about if Wemby did it right now. It might actually be a decline. It was 25/7 on like 47/42 for 20 games then he shot 41% the next month and 32% from 3.

It was a good run for him. It would be a tremendous letdown for Wemby at this point.

I respectfully disagree.

That stretch you mentioned in his last season with the Knicks those first 20 or so games where he was an MVP candidate? He was averaging 26pt/7reb/1ast/2blk on 47/39/83 with a TS% of 58%.

Wemby this whole season even with his struggling start factored in is at 25pt/10reb/4ast/4blk on 48/35/88 with a TS% of 60%.

Wemby is a better player right now offensively and defensive than Porzingis has ever been at any point of his career. Maybe if he didn't get injured so much he could've developed into a true unicorn he was, but he's never been on the same level as Wemby is right now.

Wemby is better in raw skill and NBA2K attributes but he has not yet learned to turn that into real impact on the floor. I blame this on Spurs and their horrible roster construction, but it seems to be better now, so I'm sure Wemby will deliver soon.

I don't think 2 techs at this point should warrant an automatic ejection. Let the player stay in and either give a blanket fine( like $250k) or dock a percentage of whatever that respective player earns per game. But also, if it's a bullshit double tech and/or ejection a player should also be able to challenge it via official channels and if proven to be a bullshit call, fine the ref. Everyone needs to be held accountable for their part.

the league will never impose any accountability measures for the officials. not publicly at least.

it's wild to me that they have a very complex fine system for players but the refs are exempt from this. they are not perfect, idk why the league tries to maintain the image that they are. probably too afraid of people questioning their integrity.

We both know that the league does announce that specific non- calls were missed etc... but could/do those refs get fined by the league or union and it just goes unannounced??

We've seen times where the league acknowledges bad calls. When it's blatantly poor/bad there needs to be some reckoning for the officials. They're too impervious without any consequence for bad calls that can determine a game. At the very least, if a bad call is acknowledged that ends up with a player needlessly getting a tech or ejection, the tech/ejection should be nullified from record and axe the fine.

Even criticizing a call is a fine-able offense which is ridiculous. If a player or coach calls a ref a ****ing idiot, then ok fine them. But just criticizing a call as in 'in our opinion it was a bad call that led to us losing etc', especially if the league themselves may acknowledge it as bad? Why institute a fine at that point? Look at that bullshit against the Warriors last week where the ref calls a foul on a loose ball when it was just players making a play for the rock? Basically decided the outcome, and knocked the Warriors out of the cup semis, and because Steve Kerr rightly calls it out he gets fined? That's bullshit.

i don't even get the point of the l2m report. transparency attempt? they won't change anything so it just adds fuel to the fire when you lose a close game and then read the report the following morning admitting the ref got a late call wrong.

and yeah, fining coaches or players that criticize refs is ridiculous. the nba is very stern about not having it's "integrity" tarnished, yet they allow gambling and refs to control games with blatantly bad whistles.
