Didnt the nuggets literally just play the suns like 2 days ago :oldlol:. Man they just dont "get it". Glad the NFL are throwing their **** around and waving it in the NBA's face. They just took Christmas from you lol. They thought it was a unspoken partnership (you guys get thankgiving and let us have christmas?) :oldlol:. how bout no.....bch. Next they gonna make the NBA push their season start to mid February so they can just avoid big bad roger all together.
Sixers @ Nuggets
Boston @ Lakers
Warriors @ Knicks
Bucks @ Mavs
Spurs @ Thunder (chet got hurt but i wouldn't of known that before the season when schedule was made)
way better games

It's this. These are TERRIBLE matchups we've seen ad nauseum. Lebron has played Steph/GS like literally 50 times on the big stage. The Suns and Nuggets meet in the playoffs every other year. The Mavs and Wolves just played in last year's playoffs. Celtics-76ers is tired and meaningless when you know Embiid will be hobbling around exaggerating his injuries looking for an excuse to hide from the pressure.
The league fails to realize these "rivalries" mean nothing in the Soft Era where players dont care. These games arent gonna be intense. Theyre gonna be half assed exhibitions. You might as well focus on interesting matchups instead of "rivalries" that will lack punch and people seen a million times.
How bout Lebron at the Garden for what could be the last time? Jokic vs Luka in the battle for Serbia. The "future GOAT" Thicc Vic vs the defending champs and the guy who's his closest player comparison KP. Maybe the Warriors vs Wolves in a classic "offense vs defense" clash. Not that these are THAT interesting but theyre at least more interesting.
All these matchups are just stock standard old hat. Nothing compelling whatsoever. It's a hard pass.

Spurs at Knicks: Wemby’s NBAXmas debut with both teams off to their best start in years
Wolves at Mavs: A West Finals rematch with five of the last six meetings decided by single digits
Sixers at Celtics: Can Philly continue its turnaround against the defending champs?
Lakers at Warriors: The 3rd NBAXmas game between the teams, 4th between Bron & Steph
Nuggets at Suns: The 2nd game in three days between these teams is also a 2022 NBAXmas rematch

The nba has been doing the back to back games vs the same team on purpose the last year or so. I assumed it was to cut down on travel time but they are mostly home and home so you travel anyway.

It encourages rivalry. Lack of personal strong feeling among players might be the biggest problem the NBA has. People want to see competitive drama and when they started legislating physical play out of the game, leveling severe penalties for fighting opposing players don't feel as much hate. Thinking about it, what rivalry today is heated like Zo/Ewing Heat vs Knicks? I pick that one out because those are guys that weren't more popular than anyone in the modern top 10 but it was still must-watch viewing for basketball fans. And it's because the teams hated each other (yes Zo and Ewing were friends, I know before anyone brings it up).

I think the Spurs have done a great job of putting pieces around him with this only being his second year. Sochan, Castle and Vassell are all good pieces. The Spurs are already 7 wins away from matching last season's total which was 22.
I read a report the other day that the Spurs are watching the De'Aaron Fox situation in Sacramento. The Kings have uncertainty and haven't really progressed the last few years. I think that would be a great pairing. Fox has been a consistent 25/5/6 player the last 5 years. He was putting up Brunson numbers before Brunson. But doesn't get the same recognition because of Sacramento vs New York.

Bit early in his career to worry about the players they can get around him. He’s like 100 games in. They could be a middling team for three or four more years and he wouldn’t be behind the all-time pace far as people who join bad teams. Paul was definitely a step in the right direction, But I get the feeling he’s there more to teach the others how to play because he obviously isn’t a long-term solution.

Celtics will beat them in 4 or 5 games. You aren't going to beat the Celtics if you need your point guard to average 30 against White and Holiday. On the other end they either have to have KAT protect the rim from Tatum and Brown or put KAT at the 4 with a shot blocker which means he is isolated with Tatum or Brown. Either way is not going to work.

Brunson doesn't need to average 30 with Bridges and Towns giving you great output offensively
OG and Bridges can lock up Tatum & Brown
All Celtics do is jack up 3s so rim protection isn't as necessary

When have you seen these guys ever shut down Tatum and Brown? FYI you do need rim protection to deal with th he Celtics. Tatum and Brown both create offense by attacking the basket. Packing the defense in then leads to teammates being left open for threes which is very much why Tatum and Brown combine to average almost 10 assists. If you don't protect the basket well you either have to give more help which means more open threes or surrender dunks, which is not the way to win.

Pretty sure it was a calf. He was grabbing at that area of his leg below the knee. I'm not saying he should play through it, but players shouldn't be getting hurt like this. The culture of how players get in shape isn't the same as it used to be 20 years ago because players don't have a consistent load on their body. The have large periods of rest, then get injured with stuff like this because you go from zero to 100 in one game. Practices are a ton less than the used to be, the schedule is easier than it used to be, there's no two-a-days in training camp at all now because the PA bargained that. But yet players get hurt more than ever.

Mavs are much better this year than last year.
Grimes is a solid pickup, Klay is a role player only, but he'll hit those big shots that PJ choked last season. Kleber looking good again after injuries.
I am worried about Lively's progress though, seems to have regressed, sophomore slump.
I'd trade Naji though, doesn't really have a role with Klay, Grimes, Kyrie. Trade him for DFS.

The original hoop by Dr. Naismith was a peach basket with no backboard that had a sealed bottom.
The difference is that the league consistently used to change rules to make it more difficult for exploiters of rules, such as getting rid of Barkley/Jackson backdowns or Pistons goon defense etc.
The NBA has not done anything to make it more difficult for 3 point spammers.

Neither of us knows what you're talking about.
Either you care about what was "originally intended" or you don't. You likely don't know what Naismith saw as the future of basketball. I don't either but I'm not the one pretending to care about what was originally intended. I'm sure it wasn't dunks crossovers, no-look passes or a number of other things that most ball fans would call entertaining.

Made 2 missed 3 and assisted on 5 of 10 made Laker baskets in the 4th, oh wow what an immense choke. You're a weird dude. I've always wondered how the thought process of a guy like yourself works. Is it a case of "sounded good in my head but now I'm a retard"? Or do you really feel like you're doing anything of consequence with all your posts? We all come here to talk about hoops one way or another but how can you enjoy an autistic level laser focus on only the one you hate the most? Seems self punishing from where I'm sitting.
A razor close game that was 6 seconds away from going into overtime.....and your lead scorer scores FIVE points in the fourth quarter - none of them in the last 2 mintues.
Bronie fluffers: "Oh what an amazing performance!!! Totally NOT a choke!!"
Lol keep on living in your alternative universe.

For those who watched the Knicks game. You notice when the refs were looking at replay to see if Wemby started his upward shooting motion (3pa was good) before CP3 got fouled, then both announcers said "it depends on when the refs blew the whistle if he started upward with his shooting motion" They then corrected themselves about a minute later after obviously being corrected by someone probably outside in the truck.
How do announcers not know a simple rule like that??

I guess if you go fishing in a toilet more than likely you'll catch shit right? Nobody has to live in an alternate reality to see he was involved with all but 3 baskets in the 4th as either the scorer or playmaker. Only these weird ass stans try to find the negative in every breath. No one said he was great that I saw here and you're the only fool saying he choked. You should be tired of looking stupid by now.

It's a hard pass.
damn, imagine being this wrong.
TERRIBLE MATCHUPS
*turns out to be a success*

Whatever you have to do to console yourself, homie. :lol
On the bright side for you though, JJ Redick may actually be a decent coach. After seeing LeShrivel blow game winner after game winner last year, he's finally running the shots that count through Austin Reaves.

Bad that the ratings hinged on 2 of the oldest stars left, but i guess it's a good thing seeing all the ratings talk lately.
