Each year there's an NBA team that goes farther in the playoffs than anyone predicted. They may not make the finals but they get to the conference Finals while no one expected them to get past the first or second round.

If you had to guess who do you think might be that dark horse favorite in the East and also in the West

Wolves.

Shocking disappointment: BOSTON.

Edit: ah they already fell to 2nd. I was gonna say they fall to 2nd seed and then get scraped in the first round by like MIL who is finally healthy.

BOOKMARK IT.

Shock the world is some hyperbole man - with a 45% viewership drop since 2012, no one really is watching the NBA anymore.
No one would care if the Orlando Magic won it all this year. That's my dark horse pick by the way.

Are the Cavs still considered a dark horse?

yesyes, that's why they'd be in position to play BOS and why I said "who is finally healthy," meaning at that point, in the playoffs. Sorry for the confusion.

Before the season they were....but since they've had the best record since the start of the season, I don't think you can call them a dark horse anymore.

I wouldn't count them out against the Celtics either.

Bucks should be doing better of late, they don't have to play the Celtics anymore.

Knicks in the East. Maybe not a dark horse- but a lot of people are not paying attention to how good they are with KAT and the Suns players.

I'll say Warriors in the West. They're a 50-50 team now. They will figure out their lineup and rotations. They were dominant to start the season. They will get back there, assuming Kerr stops over-optimizing.

The dark horse in the East is Orlando.

I agree with the Warriors in the West.
