Lousy and ineffectual president but a great man.

He was too good of a guy to have ever risen the ranks like that. Not enough snake in him.

RIP. He lived long enough to see a President worse than him (the guy on his way out).

He'd rather die than see Trump inaugurated again.

Living to 100 is quite the accomplishment. He’s outlived anyone that he’s ever worked with or known personally most likely. May he rest in peace and be reunited with his late wife.

It's sad our political discourse is so toxic we can't even put aside agendas when somebody dies. And this was a guy regardless of political affiliation who genuinely seemed like a decent person.

My aunt worked at the Carter Center in Atlanta for several years. I met him several times and he was the sweetest man.

Also, there were never any cameras around with any of the philanthropically good things that were happening at the Carter Center. Dude didn't care about politics or any shine. Just pure decentness.

He used his position for good.

JohnnySic basically said the same you did that Carter was a bad president.

Him and Biden had one thing in common... inflation. Under Jimmy it went from 5% to 13% and Joe-matose it went from 1.4% to 9.1%

Agree with everything you said. However, there’s no way the Libtards on here would be civil when Trump dies. That’s a fact.

And that’s all he said. He lived 100 and was far more than the 4 he spent as president.

Maybe if Trump were one tenth the decent humanitarian that Carter was.

Carter was the anti-Trump.

Genuine question - why do people reference Nazis and Nazis only?

The whole Hitler/Nazi thing is so played out......

I personally find the perennial comparisons to Hitler so lazy. It's like the minute liberals don't like something they trot out that comparison.

Can we get a Genghis Khan reference or an Ivan the terrible just once in a while?

Even a Latin American dictator like Galtieri or Chavez would at least mix it up a bit.

Not an expert on why inflation hit so hard during the Carter years, my best guess was the oil shortage? But it doesn't take an economics genius to realize why Biden's presidency was hit so hard, and it wasn't his fault, same thing would have happened if Trump were the POTUS the last 4 years, in fact, when comparing with other industrialized nations, inflation didn't hit as hard in the US. Just gotta be unbiased, I'm no fan of either Biden nor Trump but I'll tell you one thing, if Trump goes ahead with his little tariffs war, be prepared for even worse inflation rates the next few years.

Excessive lockdowns also happened in China, and the US depends on a lot of products coming from China, inflation was gonna happen, no two ways about it.

Biden says FU to Trump's request to have flags restored to full mast for his inauguration.
