You're just jealous LeBron's still throwing down jams in the NBA at 40 while at the same age you're a mentally ill recluse copying and pasting the same talking points for over a decade.

I'm telling you - the dunk was nothing and will get overrated by everyone because it's WWE and that's the program - overrate lebron...
It was another left foot takeoff where he simply switched hands at the end because his body was leaning that way anyway.. It might've been more impressive if he dunked with his right.

Did Jordan have a dunk like that at age 40?
He didn't have the wide open lanes like today's game... Heck, prime Lebron didn't have any dunks like that either - it's just a function of the extra momentum that today's players get towards the rim due to the open paint... he basically had extra momentum, so he had to go lefty with it

He is, but compare him to 2009 Lebron, or even 2018. He's not close to that but it doesn't mean he still can't occasionally pull off something like last night. Vince Carter was still doing *relatively* crazy shit at 40, but nobody would say it was 2001 level.

Fun fact - they tried comparing this dunk to Jordan's 1991 Finals dunk. Jordan's dunk capped off 13 made field goals in a row, in the finals, in a win.
You cannot compare last night to what Jordan did. Jordan's was like watching poetry in mid-air; LeFraud's was like watching a dumb tall weightlifter hulk smash. No smooth motion or flow. LeGED's team LOST to the Mavericks without Luka or Kyrie by 20 pts. Lebron was -12, and is now -131 for the year.

Lol. That was a very weak switch of hands. It was basically just a lefthanded dunk. It wasn't bad. But given how brantards overreact to everything bran does, and considering how these so-called fans couldn't care less about the embarrassing loss, and yet completely go bonkers over a regular dunk, one can't help react this way.

I mean he did it after he took off and swung it around. It wasn't like an open-court VC windmill or anything but it was still there.

I mean, come on. Calling that the best dunk of Lebron's career is doing LEBRON a disservice. He's had much more impressive dunks over the course of his career. Including in the last year.

But aside from people on ISH, at halftime during the game, Max Christie was being interviewed and the chick interviewing him asked about that dunk, and she said, "It was something that we'll all remember forever!"
The Yahoo Sports headline: "Did LeBron James just throw down the best dunk of his career at 40 years old?"
I mean, come on. Calling that the best dunk of Lebron's career is doing LEBRON a disservice. He's had much more impressive dunks over the course of his career. Including in the last year.
So I'm saying yes, it was a nice dunk, but do we have to try to spin it into some kind of historic moment?
The NBA and the players are so desperate to create their own moments that it just becomes too corny and forced now. Case in point, Tatum's finals reactions, Lebron's interviews and reactions as well. It seems like narcissism has just grown too rampant. Imagine lebron practicing shit like, "I want my damn respect", or "Lucky for you, that time is not yet now" over and over in front of the mirror, thinking it will hold well over time.

Be nice now. Not everyone can put out one liners that stand the test of time like "I have a dream," or "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall," or "Playoff mode activated."

What made the dunk special was the combination of factors that have to have gone on in his head to get him to do that dunk. There are likely a few 6'5+ guys that could replicate that dunk in space after they saw it, they "just" would need to be highly athletic and coordinate with their left hand. But most of those guys would have been going for a regular left hand lay-up or a two-hand dunk. Very few would have the instincts and creativity to do that on the fly as an in-air adjustment. I do wonder about his thought process, whether he had it in his head to do that before he jumped or he made it up in the sky.

It happened in the first 4mins of the game not the last 4. As usual you're being dumb and jealous about another great thing James did. So funny how easily you get triggered by him.

What LeBron is doing on the offensive end is amazing for his age, but what he does defensively so many times isn't. He is a statue oftentimes.

Are there many guys today who can even pull that off? Not because it was an all-time dunk, but even with how athletic the players are now we aren't exactly in a peak period for dunkers. Ja,Zion, Jalen Green, Ant-man come to mind....who else?

Yall m'fers can say whatever you want but the biggest indicator of Lebron's greatness and place in history is the tremendous effort spent attempting to downplay anything awesome he does. You dudes are so triggered by any compliment another man gets it's kinda weird. Oh no, not the "they comparing it to the holy switch hands layup" if we're being real when I was 11 it was one of the most miraculous plays I'd seen, 30 something years later it's just an unnecessary adjustment to a potentially wide-open dunk lol. Maybe you guys are the same and cant be wowed so easily after decades of nba ball, but :coleman:only new era is unimpressive? Had Lebron done that move there would be endless pages of you fools claiming he tried too hard. Lebrons dunk was cool. Let it be that.

As I was saying above, I can't even think of too many guys in the league who can pull that dunk off who are younger and in prime athletic shape( like the aforementioned Ja, ANT, Zion, etc). If Jalen Green pulled it off nobody would give a shit. It's being over-analyzed and blown out of proportion( in a negative sense) because of who did it.

See, now you're just trolling. You know very well he'll be back.
But keep doing your thing. ISH needs a clown to laugh it. We've got you, Axe, and Lebron23.

I'm not upset in the slightest I'm just the type of man that sees a heavy bag, put on the gloves and hits it. In your case a slow moving heavy bag. No amount of deflecting can hide the fact that you're upset a player you love has a highlight and is being celebrated even a small amount for it. As I said, it was a cool play acknowledge and move on hoe.

And that is exactly what's "so great" about it. Not many who have played will have a dunking that let alone at 40 getting fouled. Especially in this era. But alot of these guys been waiting for him to retire since he hit 30 and he's let them down for too many more years than they can take lol.
