That unusually inefficient and out of character late career Grant hill game was the result of a shoe deal incentive. Final game of the season. He had to finish the season with an average of 12 points to get some money and since he was a vet everyone loved the whole team decided to pitch in and make sure he would get the necessary 25 points to get paid. Bench went crazy when he got the number and nobody knew why.

Kevin Garnett was supposed to be on that team and the previous one.

The sons were so close to completing a deal to get KG out of Minnesota and a three team deal that He was already looking over the playbook and talking with the staff and executives about how he would fit into the offense.

At the last minute, Shawn Marions Agent made some weird demands that ****ed up the deal so he ended up in Boston and Marion got traded for Shaq that season. KG was supposed to be with Nash and Amare while Marion would have been…god knows where. But he likely doesn’t go to Miami….who traded him for Jermaine O’Neal who’s expiring deal was the reason they had space enough to sign Lebron and Bosh.

This butterfly effect was aided by Anthony Carters agent who by not putting in some paperwork in time also altered the entire sports world….but that’s for another day. I’m sure a couple of you remember that anyway.

damn i forgot KG wanted to come here. that's crazy because it would have cost boston a title and likely help the suns over the hill. kg and amar'e would be an INSANE front court duo.
