I hope he does. I don't like him, but anything has to be better than the trash the NBA is. Hopefully competition will improve them. It's like ABA, let them come out and then merge again after they iron out and have a GOAT era.

A new pro full court 5 on 5 basketball league that took place during the NBA offseason would actually be amazing.

If it happened during the NBA season we don't need it because during the NBA season there's also college basketball and there's also FIBA and euroleague already

Maybe they are just pretending to want to start a new league in order to pressure the NBA to expand and then when the NBA expands then LeBron James can buy ownership in one of the new teams.

This isn't the 70s where the NBA was struggling in terms of both PR and revenue, which gave breathing room for the ABA. Laugh about the 'declining ratings' and soft rules of today's NBA, but the fact is and remains that the NBA is multibillion dollar juggernaut and international brand and continues to grow. I do not see a rival league threatening the NBA anytime soon.

It could be entertaining on its own merits but with what would have to be paid to attract NBA talents this won't be a rival for the NBA.
