I don't know about the cast... but The Running Man needed to be revisited. Glad they are doing a remake.

Ew, not everything needs to be brought back. It was a fun, corny movie for its time just let it be that.

I gotta rewatch the original again. I don’t remember its premise.

And j3 is correct, Colin Farrell’s Total Recall was terrible. The new Blade Runner was good though.

It was a masterpiece for an 80's film.

Total Recall and this movie were Arnold movies. You simply can't "remake" Arnold Schwarzenegger flick. He's too unique of an actor. With a different star is just a completely different movie.

That's like remaking Ace Ventura without Jim Carrey.

You can’t replace Richard Dawson, and who’s going to be the lead, Chris Pratt? Channing Tatum?

Colman Domingo is replacing Richard Dawson, Glen Powell is replacing Arnie.

I find Colman Domingo schitck to be so insufferable I think I'm going to pass on this.

I thought it was Josh Brolin...

guess they realized the producer of the show would not be the host too.

Glen Powell as Ben Richards[1]
Katy O'Brian as a contestant[2]
Daniel Ezra as a contestant[3]
Karl Glusman as a hunter[4]
Josh Brolin as Dan Killian, the show's producer[5]

I think Glenn Powell is hollywood's new rising star... and this might be his first film where he becomes more of a household name.

I didn't know who the hell Glenn Powell was when reading he was playing Arnold's role.

That being said... they may try to increase Glenn Powell's popularity and actually make a good movie, so don't give up hope yet.

I always thought it funny Stephen King putting a photo of his Mexican gardener as his bio photo on all the pseudonym Richard Bachman novels

He's Chad Radwell men love him, women love him plants probably love him to...

But now that we know the host and producer are going to be two different roles...who wants to bet the black guy tries to help The Running Man win as the twist in the story.

Seriously? Literally one of the most famous actors in Hollywood at the moment. He is an absolute current A-lister and one of the more household names that there is.

Strange that a guy who watches so many movies has never heard of him :lol

He's got jack $hit on his resume... what the f*ck has he done?

I didn't see Twisters, don't remember him in Top Gun... I did see Hit Man, just didn't know that was Glenn Powell.

but he literally has nothing on his resume to be considered an A-Lister by my standard.... however, it looks like he's on his way.

Depends on what jack shit means. Twisters, Top Gun (the main villian turned savior?), hit man, the rom com with Sydney Sweeney (biggest female star at the moment; partly because titties but I ain't mad). He's been in multiple Linklater films too. Everybody Wants Some is a low key classic that he steals the show in.

Of the new guard, he's probably one of the top guys at the moment outside of Chalamet.

Steve Harvey doesn't have a funny bone in his body. All of the 'kings of comedy' guys are incredibly cringe and unfunny- Cedric the entertainer, Bernie Mac, etc. Katt Williams and Tyler Perry are also incredibly unfunny.

Richard Dawson wasn't that funny either. So, :ohwell:

I have some irony to present here... they are releasing another Predator movie the same day Running Man gets released.

Arnold's 80's legacy lives on
