Jerry Stackhouse admits losing 'reverence' for Michael Jordan
“Honestly, I wish I never played in Washington and for a number of reasons,” Jerry Stackhouse said, via Ben Pickman of Sports Illustrated. “I felt we were on our way in Detroit before I got traded there. It was really challenging to be able to be in a situation with an idol who at this particular point, I felt like I was a better player.”
“Things were still being run through Michael Jordan,” he continued. “[Head coach] Doug Collins, I love Doug, but I think that was an opportunity for him to make up for some ill moments that they may have had back in Chicago. So, pretty much everything that Michael wanted to do [we did]. We got off to a pretty good start and he didn't like the way the offense was running because it was running a little bit more through me. He wanted to get a little more isolations for him on the post, of course, so we had more isolations for him on the post. And it just kind of spiraled in a way that I didn't enjoy that season at all. The kind of picture I had in my mind of Michael Jordan and the reverence I had for him, I lost a little bit of it during the course of that year.”

Championship teams averaged 8th in team assists since 1980, so there's a correlation between the best basketball and team assists.. Unfortunately, high scorers with low assisted rates or "ball-dominators" have a low ceiling in team assists (low average ranking)..
Specifically, their large volume of unassisted buckets lowers teammates' assists while increasing their assisted rate and spot-up role.. By turning everyone into spot-up shooter, ball-dominators prevent elite roster construction and strategy, so they can't be the leading scorer for dynasties or dominant champions (the best basketball), aka 0 for 12.
Since ball-dominators can't produce the best basketball, they're inferior to the best of other skillsets that can, such as jumpshooters or bigs (12 for 12)... By virtue of ranking behind the best jumpshooters and bigs, Lebron isn't a top 10 all-time player.
Lebron's inferior brand of lowering teammates' assists not only fails to produce the best basketball, but it also underachieves the most by virtue of going 3-4 with preseason favorites, 4-6 with Finals teams, 4-7 with all-star teammates, 4-5 with 1 or 2 seeds, and 3 losses with homecourt... The GOAT standard is to never lose in these scenarios, which shows how far below the goat standard Lebron and all ball-dominators truly are.. Infact, they can't win titles at all without "deciding" to put the top 3 PER's in the league on 1 team and teaming up with opposing franchise players.. (edit: MJ lost twice with an all-star in the baseball year and migraine year, so he's 6-2 with an all-star and undefeated in all the other scenarios).

Didn't Jordan trade for him? What made him think two chuckers on one team would work?

Lots of the Wizards players of those two years (Richard Hamilton, Courtney Alexander, Kwame Brown) say the same, that it was very difficult to play with Michael not only because he was getting all the touches, but the media spotlight, the pressure, Michael still wanting to be the star of the show, etc. It was the same situation that happened with LeBron in the Lakers, just 20 years before.

Stackhouse was a complete black hole and not a good defender. Kettle pot.

Well he still was the star if the show. None of those guys were ever close to the player he was at his worst

Actually, Jerry Stackhouse or Richard Hamilton they were not that much worse than 40 year old Jordan. But that is not the point. The young players preferred an up-tempo style because that's what was best for them and for the team, but Michael and Doug Collins were not having it and implemented a half-court offense that didn't benefit them and the Wizards missed the post-season each time in a very weak Eastern Conference. Basketball is a team game, after all, and you should not defer to one player in the expense of the whole team.

Jordan was averaging 20 ppg in the toughest defensive era of the NBA. That's the equivalent of much better scoring than Lebron's 23 ppg of stat-padding this year.
Also, Jordan still played defense even though he was a lot slower than his prime. Lebron plays defense for about 5 minutes per game.
Lebron has a stacked team that is underachieving. Jordan had a trash team that performed about as expected. And even though Jordan was a shell of his former self, he wasn't a net negative like Lebron. Switch out '25 Lebron for '03 Jordan, and the Wizards don't make the playoffs and the Lakers are a contender.

Not as weak as when Lebron was in the East.
And you didn't refute a single point I made. Not that you have the intellectual capacity to do so.....

The East was pretty weak in 2002. The 76ers were injury-plagued from the previous season's deep playoff run, the Bucks autosabbotaged their season with their chemistry-issues, VC was injured with the Raptors, etc. Hell, Jason Kidd came from the West and made the finals with a team that was in the lottery before. In 2003 the conference was a bit stronger, but not that much. For example, Antoine Waker and Paul Pierce were making playoff runs with shitty rosters.
