I wouldn't take Westbrook at any level of prime.. He's always been flawed and let's not ignore he came into the league with 2 HOFers. His ball dominance is why 1 guy walked and another guy was traded.

He even eventually stole a MVP from one on those guys.

Yes, clearly. And it's not cuz of Westbrook.

Teams today are simply better equipped to make use of the three point weapon.

The Lakers would be taking eight threes a game and a ton of tough middies while the Nuggets would just run a three point train on them.

Even if you permit whatever rules existed in 02, the Nuggets are built like all teams today to weaponize the three point line. The reason every team moved that direction is cuz it works.

It doesnt mean the players have more talent, but past generations simply werent brought up with emphasis on the three and therefore those teams would get crushed today playing the way they did then.
