So he just put up yet another goose egg - despite playing 15 1/2 minutes. 0 points and THREE turnovers.

Now anyone can have a bad game, but if you look at his cumulative stats....yikes.

His field goal % is 6.3%. Yes, that's the correct number. 6.3%.

And 0% on three pointers of course. You'd probably have to go back to the 1950s to find a player as bad as him.

Lol. That block was straight up disrespectful.

But how does Redick give him 15 1/2 minutes of playing time in a game where they LOSE? It's not like it was a 30 point blowout where you put all your scrubs in.

The thing about that block is he was going up against fellow rookie Bona who went to UCLA and played against him in college, not an actual experienced NBA professional.

He's definitely in consideration for it which anyone with eyes knew would happen after his awful college year. I said a long time ago that his ceiling would be a 4-year college player and then maybe playing professionally overseas. But ultimately Bronny's basketball potential is not important, what is important to the Lakers is Bronny's business potential while Lebron wears a Lakers uniform.

Honestly it was smart of Lebron to force the Lakers to draft Bronny, otherwise Bronny simply wouldn't have made it to the NBA period.

Back to the OP though, this conversation is hard to truly know due to lack of minutes. There have been some truly awful NBA players who managed to play, say a 1,000 career minutes. Bronny is still far from that, so it's hard to truly know what things will look like.

As of now, Bronny might be the legit worst player to play more than 30 minutes this year. He has the lowest PER (-5.07) of any player who has played at least 44 minutes this year.

Let's put it this way. He's averaging 0.3/0.4/0.3/6.3% in 3.4mpg. Anyone else past or present with those numbers wouldn't be getting a second of media attention.

Most players that get little minutes tend to only shoot safe shots. They have "bad" numbers like 1,5/0,8/1, but usually they take one or two shots every other game. Seems like Bronny is encouraged to try and just fails.

It was obvious years ago that he will not become NBA ready for a simple reason: Players his size have to be either deadly shooters, floor generals or both. He's neither. What are his redeeming qualities as a basketball player?

Does it make him the worst player ever? Maybe not, but relative of what he's allowed to do? Yes, I think so.

Someone you and I have never heard of. Usually that is the case for really bad players..

I think a safer question would be is he the worst player to step on a court that we've ever heard of or actively discussed. If you posited it like that then the answer is quite possibly yes.

Exactly this. He has no real PG skills so he'd either have to be a knockdown shooter, or with his athleticism be at least 3-4 inches taller.

Yes that's what I was saying. Throughout history you can find some 12th man on the bench who averaged a point and a rebound and only played in blowouts. Whether he was better or worse than Bronny in a vacuum isn't as important as the reality that such a player wouldn't be getting any press, nor would they be inserted into the game in any situation where the outcome is still in question. He certainly wouldn't be getting mid-game minutes for 'development reasons' on a team currently in playoff contention.

He's not the absolute worst (although very close) but he is definitely the least deserving player ever to make the league.

He didnt deserve to be drafted, he didnt deserve to get minutes early in the season, he doesnt deserve to get minutes now. It also goes without saying that he doesnt deserve the attention he's getting either. He's not even some raw athletic freak who has no fundamentals but mad hops that people would want to see as a sideshow. Or even some novelty act getting minutes like Sim Bhullar. He's just a flat out below average college player NBA imposter who is making a mockery of the league. Well not the league, the Lakers.

The funny thing was watching JJ Reddick moonwalk around just how bad his showing was vs Philly. This is from a guy who had no issue being candid as a TV analyst. He is clearly under heavy orders regarding any commentary on Bronny.

This is 100% true. Lebron is my guy, but I saw the writing on the wall with Bronny by the time he was a senior in high school where is was obvious he simply did not have "it" to make it to the NBA.

A lot of fans were completely delusional about Bronny and simply wanted him to be in the NBA for their own emotional enjoyment. I always thought this was messed up and pointed out that Bronny (the son of a BILLIONAIRE) is most likely taking the spot of some other regular middle class/poor kid who would for sure need the money more than Bronny ever could. These people tried to lean on the "Bronny and Bron playing together is history!" and I kept explaining that it's NOT history since this is completely FORCED. It's entirely meaningless to see Bronny play with Bron because Bronny shouldn't even be in the NBA.

And a great comment on that video: "Bronny is averaging a triple decimal."

I know you're not serious, but 1-6 shooting against a team that was literally not defending......atrocious. I would have dropped more than 5 points against the Wizards last night.
