1. Concerns about Commitment / Weight Gain

Luka after his left calf strain injury in December put on significant weight- weighing up to 260 lbs. This was a sign of his general lack of commitment and conditioning. In past years he has been overweight and lacking the conditioning to play effectively in the second half.

2. Defense

Tim McMahon of ESPN reported Mavs GM Nico Harrison said that defense wins championship. Anthony Davis is one of the league's top defenders, nominated for DPOY many times. Luka in the 2nd half of games in the NBA finals last year often could not or did not move his feet on defense, out of exhaustion & lack of conditioning, leading to easy buckets.

3. Relationship with Miriam Adelson

This is all rumor, but Marc Cuban is now a minority owner of Mavs, owning less than 30%. Miriam and family own 73%. It is rumored that Adelson and Luka did not get along.

OR because AD doesnt want to and isnt fit to carry the weight of Laker expectations post-Bron and Bron is gonna become a minority owner of the Lakers after he retires so he wants potentially the next global superstar in LA to make bank off of as an owner and thus Nico Harris who is a Klutch mole inside the Dallas operation was tapped to make the deal and take all the responsibility for bringing it to fruition despite it being very implausible Dallas would genuinely look to move Doncic in this way.. *deep inhale*

If you saw The Brutalist you would understand this was an ego thing. Luka was Cuban's guy and Adelson's didn't want Luka to be the legacy figure for this launching franchise. Buss was the same way with Magic and West with Kobe it's not just the talent but who can take credit/champion said talent.

We trash the players but that's only because we don't know the "owners" and "managers" until it's too late.

I can buy the Adelson thing, she's a nasty zionist and Luka is probably not.

Luka was gonna walk. They made a desperation move. And truthfully, there is no better deal.

He was gonna walk to a less competitive situation for less money?

I had to put that account on ignore.

They would routinely post the most absolute brain dead takes.

I’ve seen enough.
