Actually I can confirm this. I rented an Airbnb to a family of tourists from Mexico and they were very nice people which is why I was shocked to find upon returning theyd thrown used toilet paper in the waste basket. It was like a nice family with kids, so I didnt think they were trying to be rude or disrespectful but I wasnt sure what the hell it was about. I was telling someone about it later on and they were like yeah thats a thing in Mexico. Id had no idea.
