View Full Version : Why aren't stiffs like Pachulia or Longley enough for Luka/Lebron to be a dynasty?

Luka and Lebron have bad chemistry together as fellow ball-dominators, so they need a good big... Otoh, great jumpshooters like Curry and MJ have dynasty chemistry with running mates like Pippen/KD and therefore can win with trash bigs.. This proves the inferiority of the ball-dominant skillset, while the need for a big proves that Lebron isn't a big and doesn't play 5 positions, aka LeFraud.
Another example would be a true big like Malone, who had great chemistry with ball-handlers and therefore could achieve a great team with a trash big (Ostertag)... So again, it's confirmed that Lebron isn't a big himself (or great jumpshooter), so he can't have great chemistry with a ball-handler and therefore win with a trash big..

Jordan played against Garbage competition. One of the main reasons he never won in the 1980's

Jordan played against great competition...he did well in those games.
He just lost...over and over and over again.
But also making the finals ten times...that's a dynasty. If an NCAA team made the final four 10 times in 20 years we would call that a dynasty. Acting like Lebron not beating super teams in San Antonio and Golden State is just low IQ posting.
I mean Luka and KD have exactly the same amount of finals appearances without Curry/Draymond/Klay

So did Blake Griffin, Pandemic P, and tons of guys.. Means nothing..
MJ won 6 chips with Pandemic P stats and performance from Pippen, as the stats in the previous post show (19 on 42% for his Finals career)
Pip went 6/6 in the finals
Meanwhile kobe was only 5-2 or 5/7 in the finals.

And he still outscored the opposing 2nd option in 5 of 6 Finals.

It wasn't a big story at all because everyone knew the bubble would burst and it did - once opponents woke up in the playoffs, the Bulls were embarrassed and barely .500 in 95' before MJ restored 3-peat from 96-98'.
During the 2024 season, everyone enjoyed watching Austin Reaves go into Boston without Lebron/AD and beat a sleeping Celtics' team that took them lightly - this type of sleeping opponent is what Pippen faced all year in 94', until the playoffs when opponents turned up the pressure and exposed him.. At one point during the 1994 2nd Round, Pippen was averaging 3.0 on 20% in the 4th quarter (thru 5 games), as shown in the graphic in previous post.

Weak era.
The 2nd options were guards like Terry Porter, Payton and Stockton that all drastically underperformed against MJ (above), but otherwise had elite peak capability that was superior to Pippen's and led their team TO those Finals as the 1st option in the WCF.
Among 90's sidekicks, Pippen had the worst passing, efficiency, clutch and peak scoring ability (mostly transition).
And Pippen was normally outscored by the opposing SF's like Aguirre, Nance, Newman, X-Man, Dominique, Larry Johnson, Schrempf, Rice, Murray or Juwan Howard, , so the only reason that he outscored the opposing 2nd leading scorer occasionally is because they were guards that were underperforming against MJ, such as Dumars, Starks, Price, Porter, KJ, Hardaway, Harper, Price, Hornacek, Steve Smith and many more... This is a statistical and historical fact... Of course, Pippen had a low peak capability, so he never outscored anyone by meaningful margins and offset this with worst-ever efficiency and clutch.

Revising history doesn't make it accurate and doesn't exclude it from sounding stupid. By the end of the 90s we all knew what Pippen was, you're here lying your ass off over thousands of posts to try and tell us something different than what actually occurred.
Thread Cliffs: shit aint working.

No one noticed or cared about him.. It was all about MJ.. Watch the media footage back then - no one talks about Pippen - it's all about MJ.. No one noticed that he wet the bed in all those series to this day because the Bulls were still winning.. But anyone in today's game would get destroyed by media and called "Pandemic Pippen" or something.. MJ dragged that crap to 6/6.
