“Executives from around the league were both furious and jealous that the glitzy, star-driven Lakers had been the only team given an opportunity to bid for Doncic's services.”

Nico Harrison simply has to be investigated. If not by the NBA, then by the FBI. Absolute horseshit.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Trump should investigate Lebron and the NBA for all kinds of things. People gamble money on the games.

Why? Is there some kind of legal obligation to do trade talks with more than one team? Is there a legal obligation to "shop around"? What exactly would they be investigating?

As I have said all along, the most overlooked fact in this whole situation is that Danny Ainge was the arbiter in this deal.
Nobody else knew anything about it but he was the one single person that got this deal done.

The same executives that off the record stated they wouldn't deal with the Lakers? What a surprising take....

Possibly the best part of the whole deal.

It's rigged and it's painfully obvious too it's done for ratings;
No other team got a heads up about it, apparently LeBron didn't even know. Viewership and ratings are way down, Lakers should be dead but every time it looks like they are the league gifts them either a generational player or they miraculously fleece another team (Kwame for Pau? Lonzo for Davis?).
The league's a joke.

You don't remember either of those trades very well, do you?
