Im not asking you who should be the 1st option.....Im not asking you who could average the most ppg if they touched the ball an = amount.

From what you know of their careers.... Just be honest....Who is the alpha on this team from everything you know of watching these two players for all these years? Who is the 1st option on this team?

Who is going to be passing who the ball in their sweet spots lol? and who is gonna be spayed & neutered and have their averages (plummet) fall way down..... :oldlol:

just answer the question...dont take ur anger out on me and bring up players not involved in this thread.

If i see this thread has 400 views and only 2 replies i will know people are clicking this thread and out of pure frustration refusing to answer :oldlol:.....

LeBron will never hand over the key. He will try to get his stats while giving the last shot to Luka.

Off topic, but did you guys know Luka's career playoff ppg average is higher than what Embiid's averaged in 11 of his 12 playoff series in his career, the one exception being the first round L he took last year where he got outscored by Jalen Brunson.

Im not sure which answer youre expecting tbh.

But the answer is it's gonna be like Kyrie and Luka at first, where theyre both being overly deferential to each other at first. And then eventually theyll just let it evolve organically to whatever it will be.

With that being said, do you think a Luka for Embiid trade straight up is a fair deal?

It will be James at first because he's been with them for years but Doncic will be the go to guy by the time they get to the playoffs.

Luka would probably be the first option for any team in the league, which is what makes the trade even more of a preposterous failure.

Luka is gonna average 30 and LeBron is going to play the facilitator role to perfection while saving juice for the playoffs.

Luka has never played with a passer like LeBron so it actually takes a burden off him. Lebron doesn't have to score as much and Luka doesn't have to playmake as much.

It's a better match than people actually think. But obviously Luka is the 1st option and it's not even close

Was Luka's playoffs ppg average higher than Embiid's in 2023?

It's a good question, and I don't think we'll know until we see.

The better question is LeChemistryKiller more interested in winning a title or padding his stats?

.

Karl Malone assisted rate: 75%

Prime Lebron's peak assisted rate: 41%

Old Lebron's assisted rate from standing around: 45%

CONCLUSION: lebron cannot play like Karl Malone, as needed for Lebron/Luka to have a "dynasty fit" that allows victory with Longley, Jaxon Hayes, Pachulia, Looney, Cartwright, or nearly any center... And of course, Lebron lacks the skills to have a high assisted rate that true bigs have, so that's another reason the Lakers "need a big".

Karl Malone was a choking pedophile who was sadly Jordan’s toughest competition of that era. LeBron & Luka are much better than him.

With three straight 1st team defenses and MVP's from 97-99' (except the 2nd to MJ in 98'), Karl Malone arguably had a higher peak than Lebron when you consider that he has 2 titles during that stretch if not for the GOAT.. Let's not act like Mr. 4-6 wouldn't have lost to MJ too in 97' and 98'... Be real

Not a good performance but it was game 7 of a series against a higher seed.

Losing in the second round averaging 24 ppg is more of an achievement than not making the play in at all and average nothing?

Definitely not competing.

Agreed. LeBron has never played with someone like Luka before. Wade couldn't shoot, Kyrie couldn't pass, and AD couldn't self-create. Doncic is the ultimate self-creating scorer-shooter-passer. LeBron's off-ball game will go bananas: short-roll/hand-off/screening game, spot-up shooting, cutting, etc.

Luka will be 1st option because Wade and AD were 1st options in that 1st season:

Playoffs

11' WADE.......... 24.5
11' LEBRON....... 23.7

20' AD............... 27.7
20' LEBRON........ 27.6

Luka is not taking a step back to anyone, including Lebron, so it will all depend on how Lebron can deal with being Kyrie this time.

I do think Luka will probably learn a lot from Lebron as they play the same position and they are stylistically similar even if Luka is much more skilled.

No serious person pretends not to know the answer.

LeBron will be more than happy to defer to Luka, for any minutes Luka is on.
Are the Lakers gonna have him in minutes restriction for the first week or two ?

Most assume Luka will learn ALOT of badly needed diet/supplement/lifestyle jewels from LeBron, and rightfully so. Probably no other player in NBA history with a greater knowledge of both legal and illegal substances, and how they can aid longevity, recovery, performance, etc

But what most don’t think fully thru, is LeBron can teach Luka a metric ****ton of jewels about the game, other than offensive reads which Luka already figured damn near all of those out already.

What I hope ole man Bran can really teach Luka, is how to quasi-loaf on defense without hurting the team defense too much, since Bran been sliding with that for about a half decade now.

Yeah, I agree, hate or love Lebron, but he has learned a lot and has improved on his skillset in the league.

If he could learn Luka to improve his conditioning (just get on the juice Luka) and then how to save energy for defense, then that's big time. Luka will for sure learn from Lebron.
