Just remember 38 points on 57 pct shooting vs Giannis the #1 seed. Brought his team to the finals twice, while playing both ends of the floor. Doncic gets a lot of credit for bringing his team to the finals even though he had superstar Kyrie Irving, yet still lost!!!! Doncic a great scorer but doesn’t play a lick of defense. Butler took his squad to the finals twice without a superstar playing with him.

Doesnt matter because casuals will still look at regular season boxscore stats and underrate Jimmy.

At age 25 Butler made his first All star game.

And what did he do last year and this year so far? All advanced stats for the last season and this season paint him as a non top 20 player despite getting paid as a top 11.

At 35 he's not getting healthier he's getting more injury prone and slowing down. I don't see him moving the needle significantly. I'd be completely shocked if GSW moved from 11th to top 6 despite only being 3 games out from 6th.

Luka carries his team offensively all season at a ridiculous volume and then does it in the biggest moments in the POs as well. He plays through injuries and played a lot of minutes last year in the RS and was able to make a deep Playoff run while not being healthy.

In Jimmy's case he has the ability to play like a superstar but he doesn't for most of the RS. This is why the Heat have struggled in the RS all those years.

Jimmy had some great PO series but Luka's done it more times in his career so far, and he's just getting started lol.
