Now we'll watch Lebron mostly lose and go 1 for 6 like he did with AD, or 1 for 4 with Love and Wade, yet the media will claim that this perennial losing with every cast is the best basketball we've ever seen.. Enjoy your fraud and WWE

Altho OP does deserve to be humiliated in a public square for speaking ill of Lebron.

Mavs didn't get an amazing return on the picks but they're still gonna be a good team/possibly a contender for the next 2 years after this one and maybe more if AD decides to stay. Clearly the new owners didn't like Luka and wanted him out and the only way to do this on the low with them getting another superstar in return was for Nico to make a deal with Rob as they were long-time friends.
When peak AD at 26 yrs old forced his way to LA the Pelicans got three firsts and a bunch of young players who were not close to being stars in return. I'm guessing Mavs weren't willing to take this route, they saw the writing on the wall with Doncic where they weren't going to extend him. A team built around Kyrie or Kyrie and another 2nd-tier star wouldn't have any chance of winning a title and they'd be stuck in the middle.
There's no conspiracy of NBA rigging a trade here. Luka already played in a big market and was a household name before the Lakers.

The media hasn’t been running much cover. Most of what I saw they were shocked and thought the trade was very lopsided and all around strange.

^^^ See, you're doing it to... :facepalm
"strange" is a cover for "rigged".... It's cover for "let's get Lebron #5 at all costs so history will show that he's officially ahead of Curry and close enough to MJ"
look up "euphemism" in the dictionary - that's exactly what you just did... Euphemisms are cover.

Why you here crying over some shit that already happened years ago? Welcome to 2025.
The unfolding events continue to show that Lebron is a perennial loser that needs rigging and fraud, but still mostly loses with every cast - Jokic already confirmed it quite clearly by annihilating him with a worse cast and no all-star teammates.

In addition to leaving his own teams in shambles after record losses with the 2010 Cavs, 2014 Heat, or 2018 Cavs, Lebron also destroyed 5 other franchises by stealing their franchise player.

Umm, probably just depends on your shitty disposition. He brought chips to those franchises and Is likely the only player to chip and fmvp everywhere he played(Kareem maybe?) Also he gave those other "franchise players" championships as well. Their only chips in most cases aside from Wade. Your perspective is how you constantly fail at this.

He lost catastrophically and then left the team in shambles each time, which was disrespectful and a slap in everyone's face each time.. It's low character and integrity.. And it's amazing that his teammates and franchises recover to make the Finals with him like Kyrie, Love and the Heat twice... And the current Cavs are probably the best team in the league.

Double Kobe's count
We can look on the surface of FMVP's, or we can see who was really "that guy" on the title runs, and we see that Kobe led the Lakers in scoring for the 01' and 02' Western Playoffs - this included top dog status and completely carrying Shaq against the Spurs both years.. Meanwhile, the Finals were a foregone conclusion against Iverson and Kidd, respectively - it didn't matter who led those series.. This is similar to the 2020 title run where AD led the Lakers to Finals and the Finals were a foregone conclusion against an opponent that was missing half their team - this was similar to the 15' Finals where Lebron got a pass for having an injured team.. Ultimately, AD was 1st option in 2020 and Kobe was 1st option for the 01' and 02' Lakers - no one cares who led against the worst-ever East.

AD was 1st option in 2020:
2020 Regular Season
AD.............. 26.1 ppg
LEBRON'...... 25.3 ppg
2020 Playoffs
AD............... 27.7 ppg
LEBRON'....... 27.6 ppg
2020 WCF vs Jokic
AD.............. 31.2 ppg
LEBRON'...... 27.1 ppg
So stop being in denial... Lebron has a 2nd option chip in 2020, and choked away one in 2011.
And Lebron also has 4 "durant" chips... i.e. it's unprecedented to have 6 straight preseason favorites or a sidekick outplay the MVP, so Lebron had an unprecedented advantage before KD stopped it, and Lebron enjoyed his advantage for twice as long as Durant (11-16' vs 17-19').

No doubt.
And Adam Silver is complicit (by not blocking such a suspicious, no bid trade, that acted as a massive popularity boost to a league in decline, in the week running up to Super Bowl week.
Silver and the league, as well as Nico, Cuban and certain figures in the Lakers franchise, are all at least complicit in the trade portion of it.
But are also all indirectly complicit, in the Adelson’s plan to use the Mavericks like a hostage, along with their army of experienced bribery-specialist, out-of-state lobbyists, to attempt to strongarm the texas legislature into legalizing BOTH sports betting & casino gambling, and use taxpayer dollars to fund roughly half the construction cost of their proposed (in 2023) giant Arena-Casino-Resort-Sportsbetting-megaplexes.

Lebron was 1a on offense, AD was 1b in 2020. That much is clear to anyone who isn't a Lebron hater.

MJ, Lebron, Duncan, Shaq, and Magic have the most FMVP of all time. I'd say it's a pretty good measure for prestige in the modern NBA, especially considering it goes to the WINNER of a championship.

We have to go by the numbers, not your subjective opinion about who was "1a" or whatever nonsense you said, and certainly the same subjective drivel could be applied to kobe's chips.. Kobe and Shaq were also neck-and-neck too, so the 27.7 vs 27.6 argument doesn't apply either - it was the same thing for Kobe/Shaq.
So based on the numbers and historical record, AD was 1st option for the 2020 regular season, playoffs, and the effective Finals against Jokic.. He also led the entire NBA in playoff scoring for 2020, so he was 1st option of the whole league.

Everyone knows that many Finals participants get a super-easy draw if the opposing conference has a down year, which makes the Finals a foregone conclusion.. This happens all the time... Accordingly, they need award an MVP of the playoffs, where AD would've won in 2020, and Kobe wins in 2001 and 2002
FMVP simply means very little and many role players have won it - I'm surprised Pippen never won it given it's meaninglessness.

Shaq outscored Kobe every single playoff run in which they won (2000, 2001, 2002). You tried to say Kobe was the number one option, yet based on your Lebron/AD logic, Kobe was never the number one option.
So which is? Was AD the number one option for the 2020 playoffs or was Kobe the number 1 option for the 01 and 02 Lakers?
