What a load of bullshit. This story has got to be the most overrated mythical tale in basketball history. A bunch of college kids "beat" the Dream Team in a practice scrimmage in a gym. Who the **** cares? Most of the biggest stars didnt even play. They've also taken quotes out of context. Barkley there was talking about the team in the Olympics, not this scrimmage. It's from the Dream Team documentary that came out over a decade ago.

Everyone knows the story too. They had a another scrimmage the next day which the Dream Team took seriously and the college players didnt score a single point. Zero. Nada. I don't care about that either. It's still a practice scrimmage. I cant believe they've actually made a documentary about this.

The one thing I would say is that the conspiracy theory that Chuck Daly deliberately threw the game to show them that they could be beat as a warning is pure cap. Coach K is full of it for still playing that tune. In reality the Dream Team just probably a, didnt give a **** about it and b, probably felt sorry for the college kids and not wanting to show them up, went easy on them.

Well, reading the title it gives me vibes of "I once beat the best player in high-school 1-on-1 after getting beaten 100 times before", something not to be taken that seriously. Anyway, I started watching NBA in 1999 when some of those college players were on their prime, and I am eager to see them tell their side of the story, what they are up to nowadays, etc.

Talking about documentaries, the director can give to it the angle s/he wants. We will see if they portray this as some big upset or just something not very serious that happened in the preparation for the Olympic games. Talking about the games, is there any documentary about the controversy of the 1972 Finals with the free-throws of Doug Collins, etc.? I know there is a movie, but I saw parts of it and it was more focused on the Soviets' point of view.

No one believed them. I remember when the talks first dropped about it. I’ll be watching this

There's a really good NBC documentary on this narrated by Bob Costas but I can't find it on YouTube. It used to be on there. You see the lengths that FIBA and everyone else went too to rob the US of the gold medal. Up to and including the head of FIBA coming to the court from the stands and making up rules mid game. Cheating commie scumbags.
