I Mentioned recently, they could’ve gone after Giannis Since it isn’t a lot, he stays with the Bucks and apparently they did. It’s reasonable to call about Edwards too. I’m guessing they didn’t bother with Denver and OKC. Definitely wouldn’t bother trying for Wemby.

Seems they were dead sit on getting another star. I guess they did the best they could if that is the goal. At least without involving Embiid, who is even more injury prone.

I’m guessing they don’t think much of booker because they definitely could’ve gotten him and change….

Not many more names come to mind.

Not that any of them make it a right move.

Interesting in light of those comments that Luka and ANT could have been traded in the middle of the night.

Edwards vs Doncic shows the value of not being the team trying to make the trade happen. Ages are close enough, Edwards is a far superior defender but Doncic has the brag of having dragged a team to the Finals. The Mavericks being desperate to move Doncic made it so that they had to offer more even though the two assets are of comparable value.

Also for Minnesota the ability to pay the supermax is very important. Edwards will almost definitely not let a hundred million dollars go to leave for Miami/LA/NY but Doncic could shrug off 30 or 40 mil not playing for anything beyond a playoff spot to join one of this big city teams the next time two or three stars decide to collude.
