He isn't discussed like he used to be, his play has also taken a step back it seems. Didn't even make the All-Star team this year. Jaren Jackson Jr has seemed to surpass him as a player. :lol

i still think the nba brass mishandled this situation. flashing a gun is not a means for suspension and therapy. we all know the problem was bc he was black.

zero punishments when jokic slaps the sh1t out of a black player, shoves an NBA owner, or when his brothers are in the stands screaming inappropriate and obscene words at black nba players and their mothers.

i'd bet 10k if jokic leaked a video of him flashing a gun, nothing would happen to him. GUARANTEED.

he's just missing a swastika tat.

He's kind of leveled off, even beyond all the off-court stuff. Wasn't the team winning a few years ago during his suspensions?

Nothing happened to him. He stopped getting in trouble off the court and his team is much better than before. He never played for stats so when his team is up big, he's not going out of his way to get stats. He just plays with the flow so a blowout makes his stats look worse cause he played less time. Other stars start chucking when they see its gonna be a blowout/ early pull for them by the coach. "gotta hit my average before the 4th"

Him and Kyrie are the only PGs who have no ulterior motive when they play. Off the top of my head. They dont secretly hunt assist or points or rebs.....nothing

edit maybe curry too now that he has that finals mvp

Completely disagree with your first point. In this line of work, you can't have your employees brandishing weapons like a hoodman. It's an atrocious look for business and should never be tolerated. Go on with your diatribe about inequality though.

but, that's like his culture. you wouldn't understand of course. but it's really not different than jokic posing with his horses or luka eating 30 burgers. guns are legal in the US anyhow, it's in the Bill of Rights. does this bother you? guessing you also applauded when david jew stern's biz casual dress code right? because you can't have a mostly BLACK league with BLACK players wearing their baggy jeans and long shirts since it might scare the white suburban folks a bit too much.

He's missed 22 games and can't shoot. As usual the team is winning without him.

He is good for highlights but doesn't have a big impact on winning.

Oh give me a break. He flashed his piece like a wannabe gangsta child. It was terrible look for him and the NBA. He needed to grow the **** up and apparently has.

oh, so because he did it in a 'hood' manner it's wrong? because it gives off the impression that he is a hoodlum, a gangster, a menace?

but if he posed with it in a more appeasable manner to your white palette, it would be, less bad? do you lock your car doors if you see a person with extra melanin walking by your vehicle?

the nba has always had double standards, uh, let me rephrase that, Amerikka, has always had double standards, one for colored folk and the other and more forgiving and more tolerable standards for white folk.

He was never that great to begin with. Flavor-of-the-month stuff. Guy blows up and becomes an All-Star and people start acting like he's a super-duper star and then the shine wears off. See Tyrese Halliburton as a more recent reference point.

Basically this, which Ive said all along.

He's a good scorer but not an elite scorer, in terms of volume/efficiency. Hes a good passer but not an elite passer. Other than that hes small, so-so defender, not exceptional leadership. On the whole he gives you a bit over replacement value but not a ton when it comes to impact on winning.

Very similar to DeAaron Fox IMO, albeit the latter is more mentally stable. Sure Id rather have them than not have them, but as max contract guys these small guards who arent elite at passing OR scoring (again, from a combined volume/efficiency standpoint) or defending... they dont have the impact on winning people think they do based on ppg and the size of their deals. Theyre good players getting overpaid as elite players. And their teams tend to achieve the same results with or without them.

Yeah more or less what I was saying before. He's an exciting player to watch but his actual impact on winning isn't much to talk about.

This man is really equating flashing a heater like a gangster to smashing Big Macs lol

I'm an absolute proponent of upholding the 2A. But there's a stark difference between a responsible gun enthusiast and playing wannabe gangster. This is not a lifestyle that should ever be celebrated, glamorized, and lionized. Especially when you're a key cog in a billion dollar public enterprise.

Bout that's his culture... What is? Playing make belief hoodmans? Yeah I used to do that too.. and then a single hair sprouted on my b@llsac and I observed my surroundings and came to my senses.

Ja Morant is as gangster as the Filipino aunties who flip chicken at Jollibee. Stop it.

He's not that good this season. Like Tyrese Haliburton, why talk about them when they're just doing mediocre franchise player thing?
