A few minutes ago I guess I was in danger of forgetting why I hate this team so Get Up reminded me by teasing the upcoming segment called "Red Hot Knicks." The only other entity in the NBA that gets put into Championship discussion so easily is Lebron James. With James it's understandable, he's one of the 2 or 3 greatest players of all time with 4 rings. Knicks have not won a championship in my lifetime and I'm not young. If you aren't in your 60s you don't remember the last Knick championship. The current "Red Hot" Knicks got ate like Red Hots getting beat by 27 points at home 6 days ago. The slavish devotion to calling this team that I have never seen win a championship a contender has never been even slightly rational.

They have only had one MVPcandidate in my lifetime, Patrick Ewing. And even in his case, no one would really think about taking him over Jordan in his prime.

Who do you hear more about, New York or Cleveland? Who made bigger trades at the deadline? And yet who is discussed more on ESPN?

They have two allstar starters. Again: Third place in the East.
