Inflation happens when the money multiplier gets abused.

This can be a real estate bubble, market being bull for too long etc- whatever to make the overall 'average' population wealthier. I say average loosely because mean and median are two very different things due to wealth inequality.

Example of a bull market affecting wealth is Meta stock being up 22% for the year and Meta engineers who are meant to be making 350-400k have been making 700k under Biden and are on pace to break 7 figures this year. Everyone else not paid in RSU's or working for a company not doing well become poorer, but if the market goes up overall we're technically wealthier thus inflation which is also usually an excuse to hide price gouging as well. And of course we have to keep a certain money supply for each dollar we create so in this kind of bull market we have to print money.

But funny how when I explain this under Biden I'm some sort of leftwing crazy person but now I'm saying it under Trump I'm educated and understand economics.

Moral of the story: Be careful of the market if all you have is a basic 401k and cash income. You shouldn't always be rooting for it to be skyrocketing because all that does is move YOUR money into pockets of billionaires, and to a lesser extent people like me.

I honestly don't know what Trump is thinking. I was a huge Trump fan until his stupid tariff threats that seem to occur on a weekly basis. He thinks prices will only go up short term? Why is that? The only reason prices are low for products made in China are because their labour costs are drastically lower. Does he expect Americans to be willing to work for under minimum wage in factories? How does he expect prices to go down if goods are manufactured in the U.S.?

Yes. This is the opinion of many elites, if you starve the people they will concede more and more as they fight amongst themselves(we're doing that right now). Cheap production countries with low average standards of living like China, Vietnam etc are used as barometers of how far you can push citizens before they actually decide to get up and do something... and it's pretty far. Not a lot of people are willing to put their lives on the line unless they absolutely have to. It won't be overnight of course, but Americans will slowly but surely replace the labor void the deportees left.

You just answered your own questions.

The only reason products from China are lower is because wages there are lower. For one thing that wont last forever, in terms of Chinese accepting lower wages. Secondly what if something happened to their own economy that caused an output shutdown? We'd be stuck up shit's creek. And most importantly.... Robotics. Automation. That's the future of factories. And eventually when youre no longer shipping raw materials across the Pacific just to ship them back AGAIN as finished products it'll become cheaper to do it in your own country than to outsource anything. Outsourcing is coming to an end dawg. Because robots will do the work.

But it's gonna take time and money for American factories to get established. And this helps them to compete during the initial phases that are the most costly to get off the ground.

Big picture, my g. We gonna be alright. But there is some short term sacrifice. 'No pain No gain..'

Odumbo claimed that it was him who helped the economy from 2016 to 2018 due to his policies. Demons claimed that the incoming president cannot change the economy within the first 2 years

So what is it?
