you're projecting HARD with the tiktok chico. i open it every 3-4 weeks, i don't care for it, it's quite literally brain rot content.
and you can claim how little time he's been in office in his 2nd term but he's been BUSY. executive order after EO. press conference after press conference. he's on the news every single day because of his public comments and accusations. thousands of federal workers fired, federal departments shut down or in the process of, ties with inter-continental partners SEVERED due to his ego, 60 years of foreign policy thrown into the trash bin (this is the most important of all since it will precipitate the fall of this nation) and yet he's given ZERO attention to making the economy stronger. every one of his moves are just made out of spite, it's his revenge tour. i don't remember him mentioning during his campaign run that things would be tough initially like inflations and a sh1t economy and severing ties with trade partners. he wouldn't have been elected if he told the public the truth, that he would ruin the economy for the first year or two in order to "BriNG BaCk JeRbS tO amErICA". All he's managed to do is make everyone else realize they can survive without depending on America. Euros are looking to be more self-sustaining in their military strength and economy. Mexico is cozying up to China more than ever. Canada is looking elsewhere for trade partners. Trump is a stupid fvck that thinks with the highest order of American arrogance possible, he thinks the world needs the US to exist. What he doesn't realize is that civilizations existed before the US and will exist just fine without the US.

Americans have become fickle. They want things done but without any consequences.
The US had the highest trade deficits in history with Mexico and China last year, even with Biden keeping the Trump's previous tariffs on China. What's your solution? Just let the deficits keep growing larger and keep sending more jobs to Mexico? I'm sorry, but he's not in agreement with that. He doesn't want the trade imbalance reversed or even equal but he wants it reigned in, and he only has 4 years to fix this shit so he's going to be aggressive AF. I know lots of countries have been relying on the US to be pushovers with trade imbalances and and funding organizations way beyond our GDP relative to the rest of the world, but he's not letting that fly any longer. Yes it will hurt a few feelings but ain't none of these crybabies are offering a solution to make things fair again.
If you or Trump's opposition doesn't have the answer for addressing these obvious unsustainable issues, then offer a better solution(why wasn't it addressed before hand though) or STFU and get out the way bitch
It's just like the border problem. Amerca OVERWHELMINGLY thinks illegal immigration is a huge issue, but too many idiots want to cry about the consequences of fixing rather than offer better solutions. It's sad that a guy like Trump who can be childish himself, has to be the daddy to a bunch of spoiled children who say they have a problem and don't know how to fix it but cry when he has to figure it out for them

It literally takes him less than 5 seconds to get it done, if it was even his choice. If the idea popped into his head, all he has to do is mention it and a staffer gets it done.

you have no understanding of how markets work. setting hard tariffs is not AMERICA FIRST. you, the consumer are paying and or being affected by it, it's essentially taxation. but worse, it is beggining to have ripples of which no one can possibly predict. you think the steel tariffs will just make everyone buy american steel? do you realize that we don't have the capacity to fulfill everyone's needs for steels? in order to build factories, it would take A LONG time to build that infrastructure, and what your pea sized brain cannot comprehend is that domestic prices will be parallel to foreign prices. 25% tariffs on foreign goods will increase domestic demand of which there is little supply which in turn....stick with me here, will result in domestic prices mimicking foreign prices or surpassing them. american companies that produce their own steel in canada or other countries have to pay tariffs to import their own product. a lot of them have stopped taking orders and have paused quoting new orders completely.
do you understand how important steel is to the american economy? trump seems like he's doing a speed run to destroy our economy, among other things.

It's real simple. If the US has a large, and more importantly, growing trade deficit with another country then concessions are to be expected. Simple as that. Why should the US keep letting the deficit grow larger? Especially steel, the US needs to maintain a strong producer of domestic steel simply for national security. The funny thing is this is a talking point of the Democrat Party in the 70s and 80s. Further proving that today's Republicans are yesterdays Democrats and today's Democrats are yesterdays Republicans. Trump isn't expecting the tariffs to continue, he's betting on Mexico, China and Canada to offer something up for our trade imbalance, as any good American president should.
Things don't get done these days without upsetting someone. Take a look at the border. Border encounters are down 90%. Illegals being held at the border are less than 20% of what they were a year ago. The feelings he hurt over doing this are already starting to forgot about it

and if they don't? we'll have wasted a lot of money, ruined the economy, ruined trade agreements with some of our biggest trade partners, isolated ourselves from a lot of trade partners, showed the world why they need to prioritize their independence and self-sustainability, and reassured every country out there that dealing with the US is a bipolar relationship because of how stupid we are as a nation to elect and enable such a dumbass president.

A lot of talk here. No solutions. Although I didn't think it would with you because you have dual loyalty with both Mexico and the US. Something that's unsustainable for any America politician to possess.
It's similar to what Obama and Clinton faced. When Obama wanted better health care for the many working class and Americans not willing to prioritize healthcare expenses in their budget, there was lots of complaining from the right but no solutions offered to a growing problem. The right finally, grudgingly agreed that people with pre-existing conditions should be able to get affordable insurance but it was too little, too late. Obama's popularity reached an all time low in the middle of fixing it, and he made enemies but he at least put a big patch on a broken system. When the welfare system in the US was broken and unsustainable, Clinton's own party did a lot of complaining about fixing it but offered no solutions, so he joined the Republicans on getting a reasonable fix for it, to the dismay of many in his party.
There is so no perfect solution, to fix a growing problem with the trade imbalance, and with immigration, but it has to be done. So Trump is basically saying, no one has bothered to seriously try and fix it, GTFO the way I'm gonna give it a shot.
If it were me, I'd start doing more trade with Brazil over Mexico and Canada, and impose very little tariffs on them because our trade is extremely even with them. At least until Mexico and Canada come to the table with a more favorable trade package for us.
