Has AD done enough in LA?

Luka is like the best Mavs player ever or at worst #2 behind Dirk.

If they retire Lebron's jersey, then they certainly should retire AD's.

And Dirk is the best Mavs player ever. Luka isn't even in the running for that title.

If AD makes the HOF then the Lakers can retire his number.

That is their policy.

Hes absolutely in the running. And Dirk was my first love.

Lol no he's not.

Dirk beat a superteam to win a championship. Nothing Luka did comes close.

No to AD, yes to Luka

But the Mav's didn't retire Mark Aguire's number and he's the third best player in Mav's history

The 2011 Mavericks beat a superteam to win a championship.

Dirk had a mediocre series, luka has played better than that many of times.

So, youre wrong.

Well, it's a matter of opinion, but I guarantee your opinion is massively in the minority.

A lot of people even rank Dirk higher than Lebron all time.

Ad uni retired as a water boy(.)

My word .. that dude had about 3-4 years of a career , rest of the time he stumbs and calls it an ankle. Knee , hammie ..

guy is pathedic.

-------------
Luke did nothing but build a stat line to become an all-star...
He is all most as bad as Harden .. dribble 20 tmes put up a shot.

Luka is a team player , and Lakers will have to build an ideal roster for him to win a chip.

I really doubt Luka's getting a jersey retired any time soon. The Mavs traded him in the prime of his career.

AD's jersey will be retired obviously.

Are you joking? Dirk played around 20 years for the franchise and won regular season MVP in 2007 and the ring in 2011. Luka just played six seasons and a half and didn't win any of those accolades. How on earth is he going to be the better player?

If he means best player at his peak, you can absolutely make an argument for Luka.

Best player in franchise history would obviously be Dirk.

He doesn't have to be the greatest Maverick ever to get his jersey retired. Doncic was elite most of his time there and helped the Mavs make to conference Finals and one NBA Final. By the standards of that franchise that's a lot of success. Yes they played longer for the franchise but I don't think anyone is going to take what Brad Davis or Derek Harper did for the Mavs over Doncic's contributions. The city loves him and at peak he is at absolute worst the second best player they have ever had. His jersey will be retired so long as he himself isn't bitter against ownership.
