https://*********.com/lists/78-greatest-defensive-nba-players-ever-*********-list/

As you can see, the link won't post here for whatever reason, you can google Hoops Hype if you want to see the rest. Their top 10

1. Russell
2. Hakeem
3. Duncan
4. KG
5. Rodman
6. Pippen
7. Ben Wallace
8. Dikembe
9. Kareem
10. Dwight

Obv no list is going to be perfect, but I think they did a pretty solid job here.

Like the voters, they definitely overrated some of the MVP/superstar players. Shaq, Kobe & Moses were all ranked way too high.

LOL @ Lebron not being Top 1.

List is trash.

He HAS to be, nobody would ever genuinely believe any of the stupid shit he posts :lol

I give him credit, he does it very subtly, but there's no other explanation than he's trolling.

I don't know why you are calling me stupid, Stockton has 3,200 steals while Jordan has 4 other teammates on this list (Harper, Rodman, Pippen, Grant).

Steals dont mean you were a great defender. Same with blocks

I

But it's also like saying ignore those interceptions Deon Sanders got...he never sacked the QB. Getting extra possessions for your team by taking the ball from your opponent is defense...John Stockton is the best person to ever do that.

You can also give up points going for steals or giving up boards for pu backs when you go for blocks

That is true...but great defenders tend to get lots of steals and blocks though.

Russ #1 and Wilt #11 doesn't seem right. Didn't they get regarded as around equal level of defender?

Not a bad list compared to others I've seen, but still some flaws.

David Robinson should be top 5, didn't make top 10.

Moses Malone shouldn't be on this list. Felt like they added Bird towards the end because they were running out of names and or want attention drawn to the list.

Biggest snub was Bill Walton.

I don't mind Shaq on the list but 29 is too high for him.

Even at 33, in his limited minutes off the bench he was Boston's most impactful defender that year.

Shaq over Patrick Ewing and one spot behind Nate Thurmond is crazy.

And many great defenders don't.

Interesting defensive help that jordan had in the second three-peat.
