Yeah, and I had this criticism for the first few games but they actually let Luka run the show a lot more in the Hornets game and while he looked rusty and a bunch of his shots rimmed out he was given the keys to the offense for the most part. Bron hasn't looked this happy since 2020 because now he has a guy throwing full-court dimes to him on the break. Doncic was gassed late though so it became a Bron show but the game as a whole was mostly up to Luka but he just couldn't make a shot to save his life.

So you are saying that Frazier wasn’t doing his job after 69-70?

In their championship run, Wilt averaged 13 19 and 4, and came in 4th in MVP voting, while leading the team in minutes per game. West averaged 23 of and came in 6th in MVP. At the same time, the leading scorer on the team was Gail Goodrich with 24 ppg (but did not place in MVP voting). So which alpha was taking a backseat? Was it Wilt or West? Either way your statement was wrong. And it’s wrong because you now say that alphas don’t take a backseat (unless they are point guards), which is a pretty huge exception to what you originally stated. Who did Isaiah take a backseat to? Magic? Maravich?
