Should Alibaba, Temu and Shein be banned? Will they?

They are putting a LOT of American businesses out of business. Both online and brick & mortar. B&M businesses obviously have already been under stress for the last 15 years anyways. Temu is just pushing a mound of dirt over their grave with a dozer. Americans will get cheaper stuff but at the expense of strengthening China and putting a lot of Americans out of work.

Looks like Trump is closing the small parcel exemption loophole and there will be tariff and custom fees on everything coming from China soon.

How do you feel? I feel like a hypocrite because I buy a lot of stuff from Temu but at the same time I don't think it would bother me a lot if I just had to buy everything from Walmart and Amazon again.

No, Shein is just clothing and Temu sells junk. They aren't even on Walmart's level which is really low. I mean can you purchase a PS5 on Temu?

Alibaba is only one that is actually similar to Amazon. But I don't know a single person in the US that uses it. I don't care to look into it but I would guess that their US market is very small and probably just a very tiny fraction of Amazon's market size.

To ignore Temu's market capitalization is ridiculous. They do sell a lot of junk. The same junk people buy on Amazon and Walmart, just for less. They've already blown past Alibaba and are coming up on Walmart fast. Then it's Amazon.
